My 96 accent has a problem starting. It will start most of the time. But when it doesnt start it becomes a real pain. It just keeps turning over and over, untill battery is almost dead. But if i get some one to push it and pop-er into 2nd gear she starts right up. HELP ME, this is driving me nuts. Please and Thank You
The 1st thing to do is check the fuel pressure when it won't start, the cranking circuit may not be turning on the fuel pump, the run and crank are 2 separate circuits in all electric fuel pumps, so the ignition switch could be an issue here, but check the pressure while cranking during a no start, then let me know what you find.

No push starting is not the same as jump starting.Jumpstarting is done buy using another vehicle or battery like a jumper pack to give it power. It sounds like you will need to change the starter it's self.It most likely has what they call a dead spot in it and either needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
do not i will say it again do not spray starter fluid in to the breather as you will destroy your mass air flow sensor. check or change your crank sensor and your cam sensor.. i have had the same problem and it took me like 3 months to find that out.. i have a 2000 hyundai accent and it it would start from a cold start with no problem but once it warmed up it would stall... besides the crank shaft sensor is one of the cheapest parts you can change ............
when you turn the ignition pump the clutch twice so the fuel pump doesnt inject fuel and hold the ignition till it starts dont turn it back just hold it
Try the wiring harness that attches to your ignition switch. Check for burn marks. also if it is auto check ur inhibiter switch located at the bottom of shifter under console
