The fuse for the license plate lights is located in the fuse panel under the drivers seat. Below is a diagram of the layout of the fuses and the fuse will be the number 14 fuse (LRPARK). BUT (and there's always a but) this fuse does control the left tail lamps so if you are not having problems with them, a fuse is not your problem. I have come across this in an 04 Trailblazer before and found that the problem was in one of the connectors in the tailgate. Below is a picture of the tailgate and where I put the arrows is the location of those connectors. The brown wire is the one you want to check to make sure it is connected. Guessing the connection comes loose when closing the tailgate. Can't be sure this is were the open wire is and you may need to follow it all the way to the fuse panel to find the break but I would start there. I hope this helps.

Can't locate oil filter(2006 ) trail balzer

The oil drain plug and oil filter are under the engine skid plate. You need to remove the trap door to see. The skid plate door is located by the drivers side door, directly midway underneath the vehicle. You will need a flat or Phillips-hear srewdriver to open the trap door. Don't worry, the screws are 'loss-proof' and will not fall off the trap door plate. Once this has been removed, the oil drain plug and oil filter are now visible and accessable (how smart is that!) Typical oil change and oil filter replacement time = 15-20 mins. for a familiar shadetree. p.s. The Inline 6 (24 valve - 4.2L) takes 7 quarts of oil. Good luck!
