Does the 2006 scion tc have some sort of code where the check engine light flashes to indicate a specific problem?

light occurs when:The center airbag sensor assembly receives an open circuit signal in the side squib (front passenger side) circuit for 2 seconds.

possible trouble areas include:Front seat airbag assembly RH (side squib (front passenger side)), Center airbag sensor assembly, & No. 2 floor wire.

take it to a parts house and have them put their code meter on it then ask what it means

get an obd 2 code reader and clear the code thats the only way to do it

With the engine turned off, push and hold the odemeter trip reset button. While holding down the button, turn the key to the on positon and watch the light turn off.

I have this car. There is no oil low light. Only light that will ever come on is the check engine light reminding you to change your oil. If this is or ever comes on and you need to turn it off follow these steps. With the engine off, push and hold the odometer reset button. While holding the button, turn the key to the on position and the light will turn off. It would be a good idea to check engine oil levels periodically anyway, especially before long road trips.

check brake fluid level first, if ok,,, look at brake pads, they must be worn out by now, change them ,,ok

sounds like it needs a motor... check your oil and coolant... motor either ran out of oil or overheated either way the engine is probably smoked... most engine jobs run around 5000 dollars

changing oil on Scion tc is actually 5000 mile in which your service engine light will come up and the oil actually 4 1/2 liters to be exact. i will 5/30 on yours
