Check for any short in the wire running from the dash to the fuel pump. If that shut off switch keep tripping , see if the pump is over heating or if it's got a short

Not sure if that modle has it but my 94 probe did and had same prolem so try this look in the trunk for a fuel shut off switch it'll be under the carpet of either driver side or passenger side and it will have a button on it push button back in also check clip and plug on it for melted plastic hope this helps good luck

1989 f 150 loss of power in 2nd and misses the hole time..it has a 5.0 changed plugs wires cap and button and coil...dont know what else to do
if you already did a tune up, make sure you have the correct firing order. Ford made 2 different 5.0 one was for the mustang another for the truck. the mustang 5.0 firing order started 1,3,7,2,6,5,4,8 the truck firing order if I can recall correctly started 1,5,4,2,6,3,7,8. also might want to check or replace fuel pump.

Power to fuel pump on 91 ford mustang cobra 5.0
The ignition module sends a "pip" signal to turn on the fuel pump and keep it running. If the signal is lost, or not present you get no pump. This is a safety in case of accident or other hazard in order to shut off the fuel so it wont keep pumping into a car with the key still on but engine disabled for some reason. Take the module to your local parts store and have it tested, for free to check.

Cant get enough fuel pressure to run properly
May have to run in line fuel pressure gauge to determine if the fuel is losing pressure and causing this fault or wether you need to look else where like constant injector pulse,air flow meter,faulty distributor etc.
