I have a 2000 Lincoln Navigator. The key will not turn over in the ignition, it goes in fine, but it will not turn. The steering wheel is locked, so I tried moving it back and fourth while turning the key, but no go. I also tried wiggling the key around in the ignition, and I cleaned the key off, but nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Check to make sure gear shift is in Park. Rock the steering wheel hard without the key in. Try the key...you may have to hold the steering wheel all the way in one direction and try or the other direction and try. Good luck. Sometimes the steering wheel lock does not line up when you removed the key.

if you need this info you should not attempt this yourself. it takes special tools and can be dangerous doing this and not knowing what not to do.also if you get it done and its not correctly done it could cause a accident hurting you or your family or others. i recomend this job be done by the pros. good luck. sorry if you did not want to hear this.

There are level control sensors they look like little arms (with joints like your elbows) mountesd on lower control arms. They may be at fault they control the height and turn the pump off when the height is reached. try adjust height first before you replace, they can be adjusted. Good Luck

Make sure that you have brake lights. It has a shifter interlock solenoid in the console that is activated when ever the brake lamps are on.
