OXY SENSORS CONFUSING? B2S1 FAILING, <<< THIS
OR TIMING A CAM SHAFT?
misfire codes? P0302?
bank 2 is the other bank ,where #1 cylinder bank 1, IS NOT, located
but I guess you do not know here #1 SPARK PLUG is.??????
well on all V engines
number 1 is offset most forward bank.(MEANS closer to the crank pulley) 3.7L Duratec (227kW/301PS)
order is
1-4-2-5-3-6
FACING THE CRANK DAMPER PULLEY #1 LEFT FRONT BANK
SO #2 IS RIGHT.
USA car> RTM its in the manual
PCM dictates firing order this is a fact and any cam chains.
no job told at all, why? doing this.,
pulled the coil pack and not do HV wire 1by1.? oops. thart?
V8 , has 8 COPS THEN, and harness wires and CPM dictate order
so you doing ACTS with the CAM?not told the job or act.
#1 is ,the bank that is most forward bank of al V engines.
so we all know just at a glance where is #1
now banks
order
1 - 3 - 7 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 8
right front is #1 (drivers seat perspective)
even odd banks.R 1234, L=5678
2nd google finds this. https://www.fordfiringorder.net/2004-ford-f150-5-4-triton-firing-order/2004-ford-f150-4-6-firing-order-wiring-and-printable-9/
This should be the O2 sensor on the passenger side, after the converter. Its job is to report to the ECU on exhaust after passing through the converter, so has no effect on the way the car runs, but just reports on how the converter is doing its job.
If you mean O2 sensor, bank 1 is the driver's side on RWD, or front bank on FWD. The #2 sensor is the one behind the catalytic converter, which does little but telling the ECU if the converter is doing its job.
The O2 sensors are located in the exhaust pipe just off the engine exhaust manifolds and before the Catalytic Converter. A V6 has 2 of them, one for each bank of cylinders, they are referred to as the "Bank 1 and Bank 2 Upstream sensors". There is also a sensor that looks like a O2 sensor it is located behind the Catalytic Converter, its job is to monitor the efficiency of the Catalytic Converter and signal you with a check engine light and a code P0420 if the Cat is not doing its job. Each sensor has its own set of fault codes if problems are sensed in the O2 levels in the exhaust (fuel control problems) and other problems like the heater circuit in the sensor is defective.
Catalyst efficiency below threshold bank one. This could be the 02 sensor behind the catalytic converter on bank one or the catalytic converter is not doing its job. The numbers have to be read to determine which is bad. The takes a hand held computer
bank 1 sensor 1 is driver side exhaust pipe in front of catalyticconverter, bank 1 sensor 2 is drivers side exhaust pipe behind catalyticconverter, bank 2 sensor 1 is passenger side exhaust pipe in front of catalyticconverter, bank 2 sensor 2 is passenger side exhaust pipe behindcatalyticconverter.
do not buy the 1 for 69.00 it more or less a universal wher u have to rewire it buy the 1 for 179. and it takes a 7/8 wrench and bank 1 is the 1 on drivers side up by manifold not by converter
Its a pretty extensive job. It actually takes as long as replacing the motor and its expensive as they also have problems with the head bolts getting stripped..
