Could be a number of things...starter or solenoid. Starter relay or ignition switch. Battery...whats the lights on dash do when you try to start? Stay on or go off.
The starter is located in the front of the engine and it is on the bottom. It is almost dead center, right in the middle of the engine. Start from the middle of your front end. Jack the car up and it is directly after your radiator. It should be hid partially by your exhaust.
remove the starter motor and then look through the hole and rotate the engine and their are 4 bolts that hold the torque converter to the drive plate ,unbolt then 4 bolts and the torque converter comes away with gearbox ,also refit this way because you can damage the seal between primary input shaft and the torque converter also the first pump drive ring,it has two slots around primary shaft that locate into the back of the torque converter.best of british with it
remove the starter motor and then look through the starter motor hole and turn the engine and you will see 4 bolts ,these hold the torque to the flex drive plate
the starter is on the right hand side toward the grill looks hard to get to from the top i am going to try and get it out today from underneath. (more so in th middle just so you know)
