I have never heard of that code before I have heard of the P0603 code which is a trip malfunction indicator lamp.this is possibly caused by a failing ecu...the code is associated with the trip memory failure. You will have to have it checked at a Jag dealer.....they can check it for about 100.00 bucks..

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

The red light is for warning the amber is for caution so your caution light is on thats the amber the amber is reserved for local market like brake pads, oil change,or abs that affects steering stability, The information is exclusive only your driver handbook will define it

Abs light stays on

check your hidden diagnostics screen http://www.bluejag.co.uk/X-Type%20Instrument-cluster-diagnostics.php this may give you a little more insight into the problem, most likely a damaged reluctence ring or sensor. Driving the car with a broken reluctence ring is ok you lose ABS (obviously), and may lose cruise control and even the speedometer may stop for some strange reason.

I have a 1998 jaguar xj8 i changed the steering wheel knuckle abs ring break pads caliper and now the abs sign is on?

Did you turn the key on at any time when the wheelspeed sensor (this is what detects the rotation of the "ABS ring") was disconnected? You may have to interrogate the ABS controller with a diagnostic computer to read the diagnostic trouble codes and then clear them. Also, you may have to drive the car 10km per hour for a few moments after the codes are cleared to get the light to go out.

I have a 2002 Jaguar X-type - the engine light is on and the ABS light is on. Also once the RPM hit 2k the car starts stalling. What could this be?

I have a 2006 Jaguar 2006 which has been serviced recently. The problem I have is when I get to 65 mph plus, the car starts juddering. This is not through the steering wheel and I have had the wheels balanced and aligned. Any ideas ?

Amber warning lights on.

I have a 2001 xtype and the same lights came on my dash, i had it plugged up to diagnostic and it was down to a split reluctor ring on the rear wheel, this set off the abs light which in turn sets off the management light. Will cost £200, but looks quite easy to repair by self

ABS LIGHT ON

You need to go to a qualified mechanic and have the codes pulled from the abs system for proper diagnosis. These repairs can be expensive. A.B.S. stands for anti-lock braking system. When the light is on your abs will be disabled and if you have to make a panic stop you brakes could lock up and you may not be able to steer around the problem.
