This sounds like a you are having a voltage problem. Have the charging system checked. A bad battery or poor alternator output can cause this. When voltage starts dropping below about 9 volts all kinds of crazy electrical things can happen and they can be anything and anywhere.

Interior light 2007 saturn vue- when the green light lit on the dash (that indicates the headlights are on)

Auto lamps or manual ?
The headlamps may be turned on 2 different ways. First, when the driver places the headlamp switch in the ON position, for manual operation. Second, with automatic lamp control ALC, and the headlamp switch placed in the OFF position.
The LH HDLP and RH HDLP fuse in the fuse block - underhood, supply battery positive voltage to both low and high beam lamps at all times. For manual operation , when the headlamp switch is in the ON position, the headlamp switch supplies ground directly to the headlamps and to the body control module (BCM) on the headlamp low or high beam signal circuit, depending on the position of the headlamp dimmer switch. The BCM uses this signal to determine if the conditions are present to illuminate the daytime running lamps or headlamps.
For ALC operation, the BCM receives a signal from the ambient light sensor indicating a low or high ambient (outside) light level. The ambient light sensor is a light sensitive transistor that varies its voltage signal to the BCM in response to changes to the outside (ambient) light level. Under the correct conditions the BCM grounds the headlamp relay control circuit energizing the headlamp control relay. The now closed relay supplies ground through the headlamp switch to the headlamps and the BCM on the headlamp low or high beam signal circuit, depending on the position of the headlamp dimmer switch. When the BCM grounds the headlamp relay control circuit, it also grounds the park lamp relay control circuit illuminating the park lamps. The headlamp relay is grounded at G203.
If the engine stalls with the headlamps in the ALC mode under low light conditions, the headlamps will be controlled OFF during cranking.
The conditions necessary for the BCM to activate the ACL mode are as follows:
?€¢
The ignition switch is in the RUN position.

?€¢
The headlamps are in the OFF position.

?€¢
The park brake is released.

?€¢
The BCM is receiving a low light condition from the ambient light sensor, if equipped with RPO T 82.

I have a 2001 LIncoln LS V8, and every time I shut the vehicle off or turn it on the hazzard lights flash for about 5 seconds accompanied by the ticking noise inside.

Security problem. Have the codes read and you'll need wiring schematics to track it down. Just a guess is a bad BCM. Back then Ford put the security in the IP or BCM. Since the lights work off the BCM and the cars starts and runs. BCM.

Why are dashboard lights flickering on saturn 2001

Your Body Control Module is failing. Your unit is behind the glove box up toward the top. Replacing this BCM is easy, but you'll need the dealership to adapter the unit with your car.

2005 pontiac sunfire headlights flickering when lights are off, but stop when lights are turned back on.

You have a problem with the daytime running lights system. It could be the sensor, relay or body control module. The sensor is on the top of the dash, there is a panel up there that pops of to access it. (be careful because they do break easily). The relay is in the under hood fuse panel. The BCM is under the dash. It could be one of these or just a bad connection at the BCM,relay, or sensor. These are the reason it flashes. When you turn the lights on manually, it bypasses all of this. Fixing this, you need a volt meter and wiring diagrams.

Turn key, no start, dash dead, but intermittent symptons

First I would look for voltage drop of both end of battery terminal.not a look or seem tight . you have to do it (voltage drop) and terminal at alternator.
now does alternator charging. take voltage of battery
if the problem occur have voltage of battery taken
like I read your problem it looks like wiring terminal ground and positive
the noise you hear is probably low voltage to a relay and the dropping voltage make the relay switch inside relay cycling noise click or buzz

I have a 2004 Saturn Ion 2. I have several random problems with the car. First the Coolant light always come on when I first start the car, there is coolant in with no leaks. The Coolant warning does not...

Could have connection issues at the BCM - body control module , lose ground . The BCM controls all the thing's your have problems with .
Turn Signal Lamps
When the turn signal switch is place in either the right or left turn position, the turn/hazard request circuit is pulled low, through a resistor. The body control module (BCM) uses the resistors to determine if the left or right turn signals have been requested. The BCM then supplies an ON-OFF voltage to the turn signal lamps and turn signal indicator on the selected side of the vehicle. The turn signals receive a ground at G101, G401, or G403.

When the ignition switch is turned to the ON position, the vacuum fluorescent (VF) display (radio) turns on at maximum brightness. When the park lamps are ON all incandescent back lighting turn ON at the dimming level indicated by the IP dimmer switch. At the same time all vacuum fluorescent (VF) displays dim to match the indicated dimming level. When the headlamp switch is placed in the PARK position, the park lamp supply voltage circuit provides an input to the body control module (BCM). The BCM then supplies voltage to the instrument panel dimmer switch through the instrument panel dimming lamps control circuit. The setting of the instrument panel dimmer switch determines the amount of voltage that the instrument panel dimmer switch supplies to the BCM through the instrument panel dimming lamps low reference circuit. The BCM then sends a pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage to all the interior lamps. All the vacuum florescent (VF) and incandescent back lighting lamps are provided a specific voltage and are then grounded. When the headlight switch is turned to the PARK or HEADLAMP position, all incandescent back lighting turn on at the dimming level indicated by the IP dimmer switch. When the IP dimmer switch is moved from MIN to MAX, all vacuum fluorescent (VF) displays, as well as all incandescent back lighting respond from Minimum intensity to maximum brightness in response to the IP dimmer switch.

Engine Coolant Indicator(s)
LOW COOLANT LEVEL
The IPC illuminates the low coolant warning indicator when any of the following occur:
• The BCM detects a low coolant level condition for at least 30 seconds. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the BCM requesting illumination.
• The IPC performs the displays test at the start of each ignition cycle. The indicator illuminates for approximately 3 seconds .

The thing to do first would be to hook up a factory or professional type scan tool an check for Instrument cluster or BCM DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . Then checking connection 's at the BCM , testing power an grounds .

Security light on

Several GM products, including the Chevrolet Impala and Malibu, the Oldsmobile Alero, the Pontiac Grand Prix, and Saturn Ion, have issues with the Security light coming on. This is many times an indication of a failing Body Control Module (BCM). Initially, the Security light will come on then go off, progressing to a constant on light, before the car will refuse to start. Other symptoms may include erratic action of electronics, a clicking sound coming from the glove box, and the air conditioning failing to blow cold air. I recommend a shop that specializes in the electronic systems of vehicles to diagnosis and make the necessary repairs. They should keep the car until they replicate the symptoms described. A new BCM from GM should cost about $230; plan on another $200 for them to diagnose the problem, replace the unit, and program the new unit. The dealers quote between $700 and $1,100 for the same repair. My experience and the experiences I have read on the internet, indicate the new BCM should last only about a year.
