My car will not start

I changed the motor and trans about 10000 miles ago. Recently I started having trouble with it starting. Checked the spark and changed the coil pack and ignition module. Thought I fixed it. Problem kept happening. Checked for spark again and no spark so I thought it was the powertrain control module, and replaced that yesterday. It cranked 20 or 30times and started. Ran for a little while, stalled and started back up. Drove it to the store shut it off and it started back up. Went home and after it cooled off for a few hours I went to leave again and now it will not start again. I ran out of Ideas, do you have any?

SOURCE: changing out powertrain control module with identical used one

it depends on what vehicle it came off of. if it is off of the same vehicle you should be set but if it is off of a different vehicle it may not register with the ecm then you wil have to do a pcm relearn. but it should be really simple.

Have the charging system checked for proper operation. If battery is not being charged properly and goes weak the electronic control modules within the vehicle will start shutting down and cause all sorts of drivability issues

My 2004 yukon xl wont start

You need spark at the right time, fuel pressure at the injectors, and normal compression.
Have the spark plugs been changed in the past couple of years ?
Have you checked the fuel pressure to see if it is enough ?
Have you sprayed carb cleaner into the throttle body to try to make the engine try to start ?
Does it sound like it has normal compression when cranking ?

I was told to have my oil changed every 3000 miles. Then I read on the internet you can wait almost 10000 miles before you get your oil changed. I am now 7000 miles over. This morning my car would not...

Well, longer oil change intervals all insist on enough oil. you cannot just keep going without checking it ROUTINELY.
I am not sure about the "thought I needed more oil" either it measured low or it did not....However, situations like you describe would not usually cause engine damage, and oil would not cause no start. I suspect that something else has happened, and I suggest that you get your vehicle towed to your mechanic, tell him all of the details and have it diagnosed.
Change your oil evey 2,500 to 3000 miles, it is cheap insurance.

How many miles on that rig? The 4.7 motor is a great motor.

Sounds like a fuel starvation issue. Might also be a trans issue. Does the trans seem to be shifting properly?? Could it be starting in 2nd gear which is the "limp mode" for Chrysler trannies?

To reset all codes in the car:
1. Turn the key on, but don't start it.
2. diconnect the POSITIVE battery turminal CAREFULLY!
3. wait 5 seconds, then turn key off.
4. reconnect the battery.
5. Try to start it.

Transmission fluid for 2007 pontiac G6 GT

This car does not have a auto trans dipstick, the level can only be checked by the dealer, this is a growing trend that started with most German cars, the filter is inside the trans pan and only needs changing every 60,000 miles.
