There's 2 different types of transmissions that came with this truck. Look at the bolt pattern and count them if you need to. You will know exactly if you google the types that came with it.

Will a transfer case from a 94 GMC Sierra 1500 interchange with a 97 Chevy silverado 1500?

As long as it's a manual floor shift transfer case and both transmissions are the same then yes it will fit directly with no problems.

My 05 gmc sierra 1500 t4x4 transmission,do not work,i press the 4x4 button blinks but dont shift?

Most likely it is just the 4x4 switch that isn't working Replaced mine in my 2000 blazer for 60bucks. This should fix the problem if not then you will be looking at a good chunk of change for the module for the transfer case. Steve

I have a 1998 chev z71 350 Vortec with a blown transmission (push button 4x4) Can i take the transmission out of a 1997 gmc sierra 5.7 liter (Not vortec) (manual shift 4x4) and stick it in my 1998?

Yea as long as they are both manual transmissions everything will bolt up the same.If you use your old transfer case you will still have push button.

Fluid type in 1985 gmc sierra k2500 4x4 aluminum transfer case

You can use the same ATF as the transmission or a synthetic ATF for GM Transmission. Most guys will use normal ATF and mix Lucas ATF transmission additive to it, to make the fluid last longer. Good luck and hope this helps. There was two types of transfer case available to your truck. NP205 takes 5.1 pints NP208 takes 10.0 pints

Do you have to drop the transfer case when you change transmissions on a 94 GMC long bed extended cab pickup 4x4 with teh 6.5 turbo desil

no you should not have to drop it. there should be a slip yoke with the shaft leading from the transmission to the transfer case. when you remove that and support the transfer case there will be plenty of room to move the transmssion back away from the engine to remove it

What spec oil is used in the transfer case of a 1996 chev tahoe

The transfer case shows to use Automatic Transmission Fluid. I would personally use a full synthetic transmission fluid as well. I showed three transfer case options for that vehicle and depending on which one you have it will hold anywhere from 1.5 quarts to just a little over 2 quarts depending on which one you have.
