I think the problem is more likely to be a relay but yes it could be a fuse but which one is for the lights i honestly do not know but if no fuse layout then check the 10/15 amp fuese as its most likely to be one of these

Testimonial: "It wasn't the in-car fuse that was blown (these control th dash instrumentation) The fuse that needed to be replaced was under the hood inside the relay box which is located right behind the battery. It was a 15 amp fuse in the centre of the box not the right hand side where there are another 10 or 12 15-20 amp fuses"

2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. Problem with driver's side headlight; lowbeam works fine under daytime running. When I flip up for night time driving, the driver's side headlight goes out. Dying bulb or....?

The day time running lamps are the high beam lamps , just going through the DRL resistor . Your low beam bulb could be bad (open) . Check voltage with DVOM - digital volt ohm meter , there should be three wires at the headlamp socket , check the orange wire for battery voltage with low beams on .

2002 Dodge Caravan headlamps: one works on dim the other works on high beam but not together. Also only one daytime running lamp.

Your van has dual diligent headlamp bulbs, that means each headlight has one bulb that serves as high beam and low beam. What has most likely happened is on one side the low beam filament has burnt out, and on the other side the high beam filiment has burnt out. The daytime running lights are just the high beam filament running on reduced power, so if the high beam doesn't work on one side, that same side will have no daytime running light. Replace both headlamp bulbs with matching, good quality bulbs.

My truck is actually a '95 C1500 but I understand that they were the same model from 88-98. I have 2 problems - both electrical. On a recent trip, I lost both low beam headlights at the same time. ...

There could be a fuse for each low beam light either under the hood or under the dash. If not, then prob both low beams are bad.

If you have daytime run lights, the following may be of help.

There is a daytime running light module that controls both low beams and the daytime running lights. The low beam bulbs may be OK. The high beams will work fine as they are not controlled through the module.

It may be possible to disable the daytime run lights by cutting the yellow wire going into the module and then connecting it to ground. Tape off the other end.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
