Vehicles: 2004 Buick LeSabre 3.8L SFI OHV 6-cylinder

From sylvania.com:
License plate light bulbs - 2 compatible tag light bulb types:
(1) 161
(2) 161LL (LL stands for "Long Life")
SYLVANIA Long Life miniature bulbs perform twice as long as any standard miniature bulb. Designed for durability, lower maintenance and greater safety.

These are available online, and also at every auto parts store:
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Long-Life-Incandescent-Mini-Bulb-Sylvania_5080167-P_1259_R'GRPLAMPAMS___

Since no maintenance manual covers this, do what mechanics do when maintenance manuals fail - get creative.

Unscrew or pry off the lens cover, pull out the License Plate's Type 161 bulb, and insert a new 161 or 161LL bulb, and replace the cover.

Test your installation by turning the ignition key to the "Accessory" position, which will turn on the running lights and the license plate light.

I have 06 Mazda tribute with the tag lights out and I can't fine the fuse for it

Your tag light runs off of the same power source as the tail lights. If you have tail lights, but no tag light, it is probably the tag bulb.

Where is the fuse for tag lights on 88 chevy c1500 silverado

There is not a separate fuse. The tag light is powered off of the tail lights. If you have tail lights but no tag lights your problem is either bad tag light bulbs or the connections between the tail lights and the chassis ground at the tag light bulb sockets.

2005 gmc sonoma. Tag light isnt working . I was going to check the fuse but cant find tag light listed on fuse diagram. What else would they call it so i can locate what fuse its on. And if its not fuse...

You can check the fuse, but the problem usually is the bulb or the socket contacts where the bulb plugs into.
Tag lights (license plate lights) are exposed to a lot of weather/road exposure and bumps/vibration, which shorten their life.

Rarely is a "tag light fuse" listed. The tag light is typically on a circuit with several other lights or accessories, and most commonly on the taillight circuit fuse, but not always.
Only a wiring diagram or a manual will be able to verify which circuit/fuse it is on, so you may have to check several fuses.

IF it turns out to be a blown fuse, your first step should then be to trace and identify the source of the electrical short (usually in wires by the tag light itself). Simply replacing a fuse is NOT a cure or a good 'repair'.

(As I write this, I have 2 tag lights out on my vehicle,, one which I verified is a blown bulb, and the other due to a badly corroded bulb socket)

Does a 1995 s10 blazier come with a factory rear bumper tag light

Yes - there should be a wire in the center of the bumper or the tail gate near the license plate.

Wich fuse is the one for the tag lights in a 1998 ford expedition

The tag lights run off the same circuit as the tail lights, if you have tail lights, and the only light out is the tag light, it's the bulb.
If no tail lights also, check the fuse for the tail lights.

My alternator light does not work truck does not charge

Sounds like you need to put a set of brushes in the alternator or the rotor in the alternator has gone into an open condition. On the alternator is a tag that should tell you what wires run what in the plug and you need to find the wire marked"l" which is for the charge light..If you ground this wire and the light comes on in the dash then you need repairs to the alternator,if it does not come on then you either need a new bulb in the dash or the wiring to the bulb is bad.It could also be the voltage regulator, but if you ground the" l " wire and the light does'nt come on then you need to repair the truck not the alternator.

Tag light replacement

I don't think you'll need to take off your bumper to replace your tag lights... I've never heard of a car needing that... you should be able to push the tag lights to one side along the length of the light and it should be able to be popped out and then there's just a harness hooked up to the light housing
