Turn signals and heater motor problem

I have a 1990 ford escort the car will start fine but the turn signals and heater motor will not run. upon accident i turned the key switch alittle more to the start position and they started to work as long as you held that position . i replace the key switch and it did not fix the problem is there another part that i should try????

There is an electric switch located on the driversside opposite of the key switch. Sometimes the rotor contactor wears out. I bejieves

try turning the key as far back as you can before it shuts off. that works for mine.

How do you take the heater core out of a 1990 ford escort

it's to detailed to post on here. if you want to do it urself, i'd suggest getting a hanyes auto manual for your car at a local auto parts store. around $18. it will explain in detail. they can be difficult.

disconnect your battery before you work on the starter lead You may want to jack the car and use a jack stand for safty go under and see if you can find the wire should be an easy fix DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the nut that goes is usually 1/2 inch wrench hope this helps CJ

replace starter motor as its worn out but before you do remove battery terminals and wire brush them and clean up the terminal clamps .smear terminals with vaseline and refit clamps tight if no better replace starter motor

Starter "clicks" but will not start.. Had starter tested, it's fine

the belt which you have recently fitted is over tight which is not allowing the motor to run so try to fit a belt by making it somewat loose which will make the motor run
