When I bought my car my interior lights stopped working. I had the dealer look at it and they said a control module needed to be replaced and it would cost 500. I don't have that kind of money but I'm concerned because it's been a year and my interior lights, radio light, left blinker and now my horn all don't work. Is this all caused by the same control module and if so whic h one?
They are talking about the body control module, but I'm not sure they are right. The horn does not need the bcm to work. See diagram below. The horn relay is energized by the horn switch on the steering wheel. The switch also signals the bcm, but that is not used to power the horn.
The turn signal does not use the bcm at all. The problem there may be the switch or the wire. See diagram below.
The instrument lights DO REQUIRE the bcm, but can be rewired to bypass the bcm. The gray wire from the bcm in the diagram below powers the instrument lights. You can cut the gray wire and splice it to the brown wire from the multi function switch. Find the brown wire coming out the bottom of the steering column, skin some insulation off the wire and verify it has 12 volts when the parking lights are on. Do not cut the brown wire--just attach the gray wire to it. You will not be able to dim the lights, but they will compontiac sunfire interior lights, horn and blinkers - 0996b43f80241223-jnh1p0frnkt3q2fbcpfimq4v-3-5.gif/0996b43f80241223-jnh1p0frnkt3q2fbcpfimq4v-3-5.gif" alt="0996b43f80241223-jnh1p0frnkt3q2fbcpfimq4v-3-5.gif" class="h_mi" />

Hello Goddard.
First thing is to verify all of the bulbs involved in the turn signal circuit are working. This will include the side marker lights. If they don't ll work the current flow may not be enough to properly activate the flasher.
Next on the list is the flasher unit itself. It is mounted on the bracket near the emergency brake pedal. Replace it, the contacts may be losing continuity and the emergency flashers would draw more current making it work.
Next would be the the signal switch itself. There may be some worn contacts and moving the emergency switch could position the contact point slightly enough to allow continuity.
If you would like more assistance on this leave me a message in "add comments" and I will check back.
I hope your repair goes well for you.
