Volvo V70 2001.. Plugs For Towbar Electric's??

I am about to fit a towbar to my car.
These two plugs are in the boot, are they for the dedicated wiring assemblies for twin/single, 12n/12s/13pin, towbar electrics?? If I fit a 13pin socket assembly to the car with a adaptor for towing a twin system caravan it, will also still work when towing a single system trailer?

No those plugs are stricktly for double towing with a tow bar only, you will have to install a second single tow plug.

I have a volvo v70 52 plate and I am fitting a towbar myself but I am not sure on the electrics, there is a connector in the boot can that be uesd. Ian

Hello Ian. You must purchase the matching plug which you will plug into that connector in the boot. They are sold by brand and sometimes year. The best choice would be to go to a volvo dealership to get one. Joe

Jaguar 2005 X-type estate towbar electric connector.

The Jaguar doesn't have a towbar connector as such, there is a dedicated towbar wiring kit available, this plugs into the lamp connectors and has a towing module incorporated into the kit.It also has a small connector that plugs in to a spare connector in the loom for cutting off the parking sensors when you plug in your trailer. If you are in the UK then check on the NTTA website for a towvbar supplier that can either send one out or is local to you.

How to fit a megan towbar 54 reg oasis

Firstly you need to know the make of the towbar, then you can download the fitting instructions from the towbar manufacturers website. As far as electrics are concerned, I would recommend NOT using the secondhand electrics that you have unless you have a dedicated plug-in wiring kit as the wires were probably cut and may now be too short to use and the sockets may not be in tiptop condition, It's well worth the small expense af replacing them. The actual wiring will depend on what year and model the car is.

Wiring towbar electrics for nissan navara d40

The best, and in fact the only recommended solution is to use a plug-in dedicated wiring kit for this car, it plugs into a grey connector on the chassis on the rear of the left hand side. this is the connector that the cars rear light loom is plugged into and the towbar loom piggybacks onto this using the same watertight sealed connectors. There is a trailer indicator warning light already built into the dash display so no need for any other monitoring of the trailer functions. This wiring kit should cost you around £40-£50 and will only take around 10mins to fit. The other alternative is to solder the towbar wires to the cars loom, but this is time consuming and may invalidate the vehicles warranty.

Cant find the towbar electrics plugs for x-type

I assume that the towbar didn't come with a proper wiring kit as, unfortunately there is not a specific connector for the towbar wiring on the x-type, the proper Vehicle Specific Kit plugs into the rear light. There is a power connector with three pins on the left and a grey reverse sensor cut out connector also on the left. but you will either need to use a Vehicle Specific Wiring kit (about £175) or use a bypass relay system.

Fitting a standard towbar wiring kit to a 1998 rover 420

There should be a wiring harness under the kick panel under either the rear of the vehicle right next to the light (plugs into adapter) or it is under the kickpanel on the passenger side of the vehicle where there foot would be next to the door under the dash
