Landrover discovery radio will not stay tuned

I have a 1999 land rover discovery, the radio is the one supplied by land rover but i do not have a maunal for it, i have tried to etune to the station but i can not see how you lock that station to a number, i have done the usual find the station then hold the channel button till it beeps, this seams to work but then it jumps from station to station after a while , can any one help, thanks

Pres the "AF" button(alternate frequency)and make sure it does not display this.If you pressed auto search then switch the radio off and on and dont press it again.Store stations as usual.

I own a landrover disco 2 and even without problems it only gets about 8mpg.Try giving it a complete tune up.If it's a 4.0 like mine the upper left intake has to be removed to change the plug wires.DIY will run you about 150$ just to change the plug wires with a new Upper Intake gasket!

I had a new cd player fitted to my 97 discovery and that did. Raido codes are free, providing you can prove ownership. Just visit a main landrover dealer, they got mine in about 10 minites.

Fuel supply problem in 1998 Landrover Discovery. 3.9 V8
not likely a fuel issue,
try running it in the dark of night , no lighting and look for sparks ,
have the ignition coil tested , be sure it has good ground.
pull each plug and watch the spark ,does it maintain the blue long arc.
tune a am/fm radio to the sparks ignition sound an listen to it
a portable walkman can lead you to the faulty spark,
or just have them monitor the spark at the shop.
