I have a 2008 pilot with a damaged front bumper face skid. That is the bottom center plate of the front bumper. Computer illustrations shows the part is removable. My questions are: Do you have to remove the front bumper to replace this part?, Is it a two men job?, Is the part mounted to the front bumper by hanging hooks and secure with two tapping screws?.

Try removing the skid plate from under motor then that should allow you to access the bumper bolts. Some of them required removing the grill also. Good luck
If you got an itemized bill, check to see how much they are charging you for the replacement of the closing plate.
From experience, the labor for the paint of a bumper is what costs most.
When a bumper is replaced, in order to have the front end match the new paint on the new bumper, they have to blend the hood and fender covers, or you will notice the difference in paint color with the bumper.
Best is to ask body shop to explain the estimate in more detail. I also recommend that you have your auto insurance company pay for the repair, minus your deductible. This is why you have insurance.
The 2007 Tundra 5.7l engine doesn't have a spin on filter - it uses a replaceable paper cartridge within a permanent housing. Located under the skid plate on the front-left portion of the engine, the oil filter unit has two coolant hoses, a black plastic screw-in housing, and a large, metal, round screw with a 1/2" square fitting in the middle of it. The cartridge-type oil filter is in the housing.
If equipped with a skid plate, access is accomplished by removing the 5 skid plate bolts, allowing the plate to swing down on integrated hangars (with the front plastic bumper skirt still attached). To completely remove the skid plate, three small screws holding it to the front plastic bumper skirt must also be removed.
Toyotafilter kits contain a new filter cartridge, a plastic drain plug, and two O-rings. The drain plug is used to drain residual oil from the filter unit prior to removing the plastic screw-in housing. After removing the large, metal, round screw with a 1/2" square fitting in the middle of it, the plug simply snaps into the bottom of the plastic housing. The smaller of the two new O-rings replaces the existing O-ring on the screw.
Once drained, the plastic screw-in filter housing is removed using a filter wrench (Toyota special service tool). The larger of the two new O-rings replaces the existing O-ring on the screw-in housing. VERY CLOSE ATTENTION must be paid in placing the new O-ring - failure to properly seat the new O-ring could result in a massive oil leak!
The filter itself is currently only available from Toyota.
Good Evening. Unfortuantely there is no easy path to a right answer here without removing the skid plate. In front of the engine are transmission cooler lines and other miscellania. The best advice i could give you is take down the skid plate and have a can of brake cleaner handy to clean everything off while you have it turned off then have someone turn it on for you so you can visually see where it is coming from. Hope this helps and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
The starter is at the front of motor bottom of car directly behind radiator. You will need to remove the skid plate and go about 12 inches back from the bumper while under the car. The starter is a cylinder shaped and mounts to the bottom of the block in front of the oil pan.
The procedure is very involved. It requires the removal of the front bumper fascia fasteners from the center and side of the
headlamp to be removed.
Remove the front bumper fascia fasteners from the center
and side of the headlamp to be removed, full removal of the fascia is
not necessary. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement.
Gently pull the fascia forward to allow clearance to remove the headlamp assembly.
You will also need to remove some of the fasteners at the front of the inner wheel well.
The Front Bumper Fascia is the plastic cover over your front bumper.
You may also have to remove the plastic cover that is located under the front of the hood over the radiator. It extends to both sides.
No special wrench needed for filter.
The oil filter is located in the front of the engine on the right side, down at the bottom.
It's easier to change the filter by taking of the front skid plate underneath. You'll need a 12mm socket to take it off.
If you try to get it from the top, you'll get oil all over the skid plate and have a big mess to clean up. Plus, you may damage the radiator by leaning on it.
