Dirty battery cable terminals, faulty cables or loose earth connection, engine wont turn water in cylinders, battery goes open circuit under load. can cause this fault.
check the coolant level at the top tank radiator cap
check for an air lock in the cooling system
run the fault codes to check for problem sensors
have a compression test done to check head gasket and cracks
abs light on dash panel should only light for two seconds upon starting of engine , then go out . if it comes on and stays on then this indicates a fault has been detected in your abs system , by body control module (fault can be any where on car) a code reader will be required to know reason for abs fault
probly computer issues--unplug it and clean the pins w electric solvent and see if system clears--old alternator etc can cause symtoms tu-git it testd--------may need to du a scan w vehicle specific gear not a cheap code reader---------cud hav a brake module thats failn--dirty fluid will cause it--there not cheap---------mite need computer to be reflashd--------go to a private mech that has done this stuf---dealers dont hav xpertise or old gear to scan
1. Turn the ignition to ON do not start.Engine OFF dash board lights ON. 2. Press and release the reset button in the driver information center (DIC) until the OIL LIFE message is displayed. 3. Once the alternating OIL LIFE and RESET messages appear on the DIC display, press and hold the reset stem until several beeps sound. This confirms the OIL LIFE system has been reset. 4. Turn the key to lock. If the CHANGE OIL message comes back on when you start the engine, the ENGINE OIL LIFE system has not reset. Repeat the procedure Alternate Method
1. Turn the ignition key to ON with the engine off.
2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5
seconds. Several beeps sound. This confirms the oil life system has been
reset.
3. Turn the ignition key OFF. 4. If the CHANGE/OIL message comes back on when you start the
engine, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure I use the second method, it is more universal and it works for Chevy Venture too.
Not really sure how i can help you with this , do you mean reset the Service Engine Soon light on the dash? if that is the case you will need a Code Reader and reset it that way.
This is the check engine light (yellow light) and it only comes only when the computer control unit (called the PCM) senses a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system u will seldom feel the car engine run any different, there are about 200 possible faults that turn the light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test, Kragen and Autozone parts stores do this testing for free.
