Ineed to chnage the fuse for my lowbeams, need more amps
I can't locate the fuses for the lowbeam headlights for my 1999 740i BMW. Anybody know where it is located? I checked the fuses in the engine comparment and the trunk, but can't find it.
thanks.

limited info generic --test the switch probable failed but since no model this link is the owners manual for e150 and pages 128 --129 tell which fuses are for headlights and multi switch https://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/catalog/owner_guides/99ecoog1e.pdf
check your fuses (all of them if you have to) for any that are blown. there is a slight chance that one quit and she didn't notice it and the other finally died. also under the hood near the battery you should be able to locate another fuse panel. take off the lid and try to locate the relay for the headlights it may have failed.
It is either the light switch or the headlight relay, I would say first go for the relay as it carries the actual load of the lights. It will not be a fuse, the headlights are fused individually.
there is a recall for the headlight switch on some 2001 civics. my old car had same problem.the headlight wire harness can overheat and may cause the low-beams to fail
The 2003 Trailblazer has separate fuses for each headlight. Check the fusebox under the hood near the battery. A complete diagram showing you where the low beam fuses are can be found in your vehicle owner's manual.
THERE ARE FUSES THAT PROTECT THE HEADLIGHT CIRCUITS. CHECK TO SEE IF THE FUSES ARE GOOD. THIS SHOULD HELP YOU OUT REAL QUICK. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA AND FOR AN HONEST RATING AS WELL. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. GOOD LUCK
