E26 and E27 which is "Shorted throttle switch signal" and "Open throttle switch signal".
The code E52 just means that the ECM lost power or ground or that someone forgot to clear the code after hooking the battery back up. It could mean a bad computor but not very often. 2 things that come to mind is a bad ignition key or lock cylinder or a faulty neutral safety switch. Try the other ignition key first. Then with your foot on the brake pedal hold the key in the start position and move the shifter slowly from P to D. If it tries to start then the NS Switch is bad or out of adjustment. If it still won't start then you will need to troubleshoot the ignition key/PASS KEY system for an open wire in the steering column. Hope that helps. Bill
The e52 stands for or means that you are comunicating dirrectly with the Electronic Control Module (ECM) The 7.0 means that the system is ready for you to clear any stored codes in the (ECM). Which you should not do if there is any unless you have already made all repairs.Did you enter the diagnostic mode by mistake, Because they are not trouble codes they are entry points to allow you to be able to extract any trouble codes stored in your systems computer or (ECM). To exit the self diagnostic system at any time press the AUTO button and turn the ignition key off. This will prevent the system from throughing these numbers at you.Or you can continue on with your self diagnostics, and when finnished then exit program.Good Luck.
IT MEANS THAT A FAULT HAS OCCURED IN THE SYSTEM AND THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN DISABLED, TO FIND THE FAULT YOU MUST HAVE THE DEALER TEST IT FOR THE TROUBLE CODE THAT IS STORED WHEN THE LIGHT STAYS ON.
E26 - Shorted Throttle Switch Circuit
E27 - Open circuit in throttle switch
On these 2 codes replace the TPS and clear codes (throttle position sensor). E52PCM/ECM Memory Reset
Have u cleared the memory? don't worry about this code.
If you have the chip in the key, this is the method I used for bypassing the entire security system and never heard about it anymore: http://newrockies.ca/vatsbypass
