Did you check the fuse? Either the fuse may be out, or the brake light swith on the brake pedal may be out or need adjusting. You should have 12 volts at the brake switch.

Left rear turn signal on dodge ram 1500 won't work. bulb replacement didn't help.

Just had a similar question last week, and the solution was a bad socket/bulb holder.
You might try and see if there is current in the brake light wire leading to the bulb holder.
I have used a jumper wire and a safety pin to test the wire behind the socket.
I pierced the plastic insulation of the brake light wire with the point of the safety pin, and either use a tester or even a good working bulb and a good ground wire.
Be blessed.

Brake lights on mb ml350 don't work even after installing new bulbs

Rick,
The brake lamps on your Mercedes are computer-controlled. I would recommend scanning your computer network for possible fault codes.

When I hit the brakes, the tailight on the driver side won't light up. What's the problem?

check the bulb first, be aware that the newer bulbs fit into a slot that has very thin contacts in them, and the ones on the bulb are the same size, if you try a new bulb, make sure the lights are all off, if it doesn't work, and very gently pry that wire out from the plastic that houses it,, at times they get smashed in there and won't make contact

My brake light is on while driving and my turn signal lights are not coming on

there are several causes, check bulbs first. A crossed filament in a bulb can cause similar problems. The brake & turn use the same filament so if the brake lights are on, due to a bad switch underdash, the turn signals won't work.

I replaced a cracked rear tail light with an after market new light. Now the brake light won't work but reverse lights and directional signal do. The bulbs are fine as I've moved them around and...

  • If there are no brake lights period the check the stop switch (brake light switch)
  • This is attached to the upper part of the brake pedal itself. Should be a little wire off of it. When that goes bad the brake lights will not work at all.
  • Please note that the fuse for "brakes" is ABS only and has no bearing on the brake lights themselves working.

Do you have further information on the recall? Such as a recall number? My '06 ML350 is now having this same problem (right brake light out/left brake light out, substitue bulb on). My shop cannot find...

I never found any recall for it, so I got lot of cars same problem all the cars i found faulty light, common problem is burn contact, remove light and have a look inside contact plate you can see burn mark on it, clean the burn mark and put some led by soldering, if it's not work or no burn mark on bulb holder contact plate check wiring, if both way not found any fault possibly faulty rear SAM.
