How do you reprogram remote door fob - 1994 Ford Thunderbird

The back door sounds like the mechanism that grabs when shut/locked is stuck and side door could have a short or batteries low on fob.

they might have lost their program. A dealership can reprogram the fobs and it should work. But if they constantly loose program it is the remote module. it is located in the dash under the radio. you'll see an antenna coming off it.

May be keyfob needs reprogramming.

Try with brand new key fob battery and see.If that helps.

the key fob remotes need to be reprogramed or have the battery checked... make sure to have all key fob remotes present when reprogramming...

it diddnt work

I have an A4 and did this to re-program my key:

1. used the key to start the car...then turned it off
2. put the key in the driver door (door closed)
3. pressed the lock button on the key fob once
4. turned the key to lock the door.

This is basically the steps in the owners manual, but the car must be started with the key first, and the key must be in the door lock before pressing the lock button.

need to remove door panel either the linkage clip either broke or disconnected --if have remote start on fob need dealer to program--if normal try these links
