On 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD 5.2L MFI 8cyl the Vehicle Speed Sensor - is located in Transmission / Transfer case extension housing (tail section), near where the drive shaft attaches to the transmission. The sensor has three wires (white / black, black / light blue and white / orange).

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

Check the crankshaft position sensor, i have repaired 3 Jeeps (after the owner spent a lot of time and money replacing fuel pumps,TPS, and many other items) then got frustrated, brought it to me and within an hour it was running fine with a new CPS

I have a grand cherokee 1993 it wont im not getting fire

Might be your crank sensor, your coil, your distributor or even your ecu. All of those being bad will prevent the jeep from firing. If you do not have a check engine light lighting up on the dash when you turn the key to on, before trying to crank the engine, then it's your ecu which is bad and needs repair.

1993 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO IM TOTALLY BAFFLED

Back up a minute...Do you have spark from the coil wire? (juice from coil) If so, change or check rotor and cap (wires do not all go bad at same time so unless they are wet, likely at least good enough to start engine)
