Sounds like you may want to try a cam/crank sensor. If you suspect the computer could be bad, then at a time when it stays running, tap on the computer with something like a wrench, or screwdriver handle an see if it stops running. I hope this may help. If not then re-post and we'll try again later.

Is there a Security light on the dash? Does it come on when the engine stops? If so, it could be having trouble reading the ignition key code. You would need to have that checked by a dealership.

2004 GMC envoy xuv cargo dome lights not working. Looking for the fuse # for them or the problem. The other lights inside the car work. Just the back cargo area is not.

Hi,

Please open your fuse box to check if you notice any fuses that are discolored or (potentially) burnt. if you find one, that fuse might be linked to the dome lights.

To be sure, please call your local advanced auto parts to verify the fuse # is correct and then you can order the fuse through advanced autoparts.

Thank you.

Where is fuse located for horn (driver) 2004. Gmc envoy

If possible, pull the horn relay, use jumper wire on switch side of relay, right side in diagram. If the horn sounds, it's not the fuse. Sometimes these diagrams don't post, for some reason? good luck

2004 gmc envo when engine is off and in park headkights stay on

Do they stay on after key is removed from ignition lock cylinder ?

Check HDM relay 46 in the under hood fuse / relay box . Relay contacts stuck closed , possibly ! The relay supplies B+ voltage to the low beam fuse's ! Let me know if that works or not . If not , will go on too more diagnostics steps .

How to fix my rear tailgate window

check the fuse/relay. if it is neither of these check the switch with a multimeter. If you can hear the motor trying to move the glass when you try the switch it may be the regulator needs attention. It may be the motor needs to be replaced.

check fuse and relay along with the switch first then the regulator and motor afterwards. Replacing the small electronics is obviously easier than having to open up the tailgate to check the mechanics of the winedow.

The auto headlights on my 2004 gmc envoy wont work at all! No low beam lights work! I checked the fuses and they are all good. what could be wrong?

Relay #46 in the underhood fuse panel is probably bad. You can verify this by swapping it with relay #45. Also, sometimes the relay contacts become corroded, check these when you have the relay out.
