CHECK THE OIL DIP STICK AND SEE IF IT LOOKS LIKE CHOCOLATE MILK IF SO THEN THE NOISE WOULD BE A BAD ROD BEARING THE WHITE SMOKE IS COOLANT GETTING IS A CYLINDER AND IT BURNING IT IFTHE OIL LOOKS LIKE MILK THAT IS FROM THE COOLANT IN THE OIL FROM THE HEAD GASKET DONT TRY TO FIX THAT MOTOR FIND ANOTHER ONE

There will be white smoke out the tailpipe along with a sweet smell of antifreeze. Also the fluid level in your radiator will go down. You can try a sealer from your auto supply store that might seal the leak. Just follow the manufactures instructions.

White smoke coming out of a tailpipe indicate water. Check your oil. Is it murky looking ? Is there an oily film in your radiator ? You may have one or more problems. Blown head gasket, cracked heads or water jacket.
