Syntetic oil is designed for operation at lower temperatures. And it wont get too viscous at lower temperature. But any way you need to worm up the autotransmission operated car at least 20-30 minutes in winture and at least 5-10 min in summer to prevent the transmission damage.
But for you car what is recommende is to use:
Coastal/DexronIII/Mercon Automatic transmission fluid
or Castrol/ATF-4 automatic transmission fluid or 5W-30 SAE syntetic Oil, but some dealers are not recommending to use syntetic oil for automatic transmission. More info about syntetic oils is here

This sounds exactly like a faulty ignition coil.
The coil is pretty easy to change. Just obtain a replacement, and observe how the existing coil is fitted. Detach any wires fitted to the existing coil, and plug them into the placement. Then unbolt the old coil, and bolt the new one into place.
It will only take you 10-15 minutes or so to replace the coil.

it sounds like a common toyota problem........."idle air control motor", the part is very easy too change, and if your looking to save money.try a junk yard , it is a commonly used part and theyll have it much cheaper than parts stores....you can try to unplug the idle motor and see if the car runs (not better, but more even RPMS)...it the idle is even and not up and down,,,, it is for sure a bad idle motor,,, let me know, ill guide ya through the testing if needed..........marty

If it has a trunk release it sounds to be frozen..Also some close themselves electrically...But I am sure you would know if it is electric or not..If not check for a trunck fuse in the fuse box or the owners manual would be the best...If it is a manual trunk and is stuck or frozen you should be able to move the trunk latch with a big flat prybar...And if it is out of alignment the adjustment is at the striker that is mounted to the lid and not the latch itself....Hope thhis helps......Metalpoet
