There should be a little screw to turn to adjust the head light. This will be in the head light assembly itself on top. If you have a manual they tell you in that also - but you should be able to find it any way. Some cars use a screw driver and some use a special type of screw driver you may have to buy.
have a compression test done to check for head gaskets/cracks. check thermostat fitted correctly. If there is a viscous fan hub then replace it. if the bottom hose stays cool that indicates a blockage and that if the radiator is off the shelf new points to a thermostat fitted the wrong way . over haeting at lights goin slow or working at high rpms while loaded points to the fan hub. If electric fans then it points to the fact that they are not coming on. check ignition timing as a spark after TDC will cause overheating.. If at speed it over heats then check over drive operation as over reving the engine will also over heat the engine.
Could be time for another engine. The pressure switch measures pressure, so it could be the oil pump is failing, or there are blockages in the oil passages in the block or head. You may need to pull the oil pan and check the pickup screen to see if stuff from the head job fell into the crankcase.
There are adjusting knobs beside the head lights housing 3 normally and by adjusting each at a time the head light can be aimed down left and right.. Correct adjustment will be when the center of the beam is at the same height as the center of the head light at a distance of 3 ft in from of the car on level ground. Check that the rear of the car is at correct ride height as sagged suspension will cause this problem. Consider if you have a caravan hooked up then the headlights will point up. . Same problem.
check voltage at main fuse box (what car)? and those fuses. to fix electrical , "nothing" means , bad head lights. so that very simple system is the most easiest to diagnose. voltage at the head light fuse, (no) then move back to the engine bay fuse box for power on all fuses there (large fuses) at one point you get 12v (HL are hot all the time) between the last bad point and the good 12v point is the section that is open circuited. easy huh?
You are most likely chasing a bad ground problem, check all ground points and wire splices to these points.Do a visual inspection and tug on the wiring at each splice, remove ground bolts and clean the cable ends and the area they mount to.Merry Christmas and good luck.
the plate and tail lights are on the same fuse you can check that fuse and the dash light fuse with a test light, but i'm pretty sure your head light switch is the problem,
If the bulb is of too much wattage maybe but is more likely the wiring is grounding to the frame at some point. You are of course, using the proper fuse....
