My 2000 vw passat wont start. The remote key will not unlock doors or trunk. No panic alarm. The #14 fuse blows out upon replacement. The dom lights, passenger lights wont come on, the sunroof wont open. I replaced the car battery still all mentioned persists. [email protected]

    The alrm light on the driver's door doesnot blink and neither can I unlock the other doors by key.

    Hello!The problem is the Comfort Control Module...Whoever decided to put a major electrical module under the feet of the driver where water might get to it will not win engineer of the year...This is a constant problem on a Passat...If your handy you may be able to repair it ...They are very expensive to replace...
    Take the plastic foot guard off with your screwdriver. This is the place your left foot usually rests...

    you need to pop off the long plastic piece that goes between the metal frame and the foot well fabric. Lifting the fabric up you will see a bundle of wires attached to a black box....

    Hello! Allow me to complete the solution...The system last night was backed up...

    Common problem on your vehicle is the location of the Comfort Control Module (CCM)...It is more than likely damaged by moisture causing the fault...It can be repaired if you have a wee bit of experience with a soldering gun,,,Follow the removal instructions and when you have it out pry it open with a thin bladed screw driver...Using a bright light look for 3 or 4 wires going into a crimped connection with one wire coming out...This is generally the problem...The crimp rots due to moisture/corrosion and either opens or touches ground which blows the fuse...Inspect the inside for broken, loose, burnt or corroded wiring...Open up the printed wiring card cover and inspect it for damage...I believe, if needed, the PWC can be purchased...Saailer

I have a Dak 2000 3.9 Ltr V6, Single Cab, Bare Bones. ... Panic Mode .... ooops....i mean the remote entry and alarm system does NOT work ... i have a 2002 dakata where can i buy a ctm looked all over nobody sell them can thay be rebuilt ... I was out the door $550.00, and they washed the truck also.

how do I stop my trucks alarm from going off when I open the door? it did it ... to thetruck and opened driver door (it was unlocked) and the alarm started going off. ... I do not have a remote unlocking device (or it doesnt work) so I do all .... alarm will go off then I have to use the FOB panic button to shut it off.

Mustang alarm

Ford sold a Ford branded alarm through the parts department. These sometimes were a dealer installed option on new cars. Mine would randomly stop responding to the remote and I would have the same symptoms as you describe. I had it removed and the original equipment factory system still worked. Be warned, if you have the Ford "accessory" alarm, your key fobs (remotes) are different and the method to program them is different from what you will read online. You can tell if you have the system by looking at your key fob. The standard Mustang key fob is a 4 button (lock, unlock, panic, and trunk). The accessory alarm uses a 3 button remote and clicking unlock twice would pop the trunk. I really wish I had a picture of the remote because there are 3 button Ford key fobs for cars without a trunk release although I don't think you should have one on a Mustang. Long story short, if you have the accessory alarm, you can solve your problem by having it removed but you will need new 4 button key fobs to remotely lock/unlock your doors

put the key in lock and unlock/hold key over.windows will go down,then lock/hold key over windows will go up/sunroof will close(if fitted),then press and hold unlock button on remote for 30 secs,you have just reset the immobiliser........

My car, 2000VWPassat, is doing exactly the same thing as of Wednesday April 7, 2010. The dealer has been looking at it for 6 hours and they said they have absolutely no clue what is happening. They are elevating it to an "engineer".

Ignition key does not work in door locks

try getting the key made then go down to a VW dealer and they should be able to reprogram the remotes for about 60bucks
