I have a 1995 F-150 Eddie Bauer custom edition truck. It's engine is a 351 Clevland w/ 5 speed automatic transmission and is also 4x4 that can be changed into 4 wheel drive from inside the truck on dash controls. Was running great. Then just would not start after coming out of store. It just clicks a little bit when I try to turn it on. No response from the starter. Battery posts and connections are in good condition and are clean, also the battery tests at 13.14 Volts and 656 cold cranking amps by a professional. My truck is stranded on street and want to get her home and running again for WORK. Never had problems with it before. Someone told me it might be the neutral switch. Can somebody please give me some advise on how to get her running again. I would be so grateful if anyone could help.

It appears to have history. A bit worrying you say 'kinda changed the filter and fluid'. Most are sealed for life, and the amount of fluid is critical. If you drain, you measure what comes out and replace with the same amount of the right type of ATF.

It's inside the transmission , pull the pan on the bottom of the transmission.

Facing the front of the truck it is on the left side of the firewall under neath the dryer follow the hoses from the condenser to the fire wall there is a silver dryer cylinder under the wiring harness it is at the bottom of that. Hard to see without flashlight may have to remove the wiring harness from the firewall for easier access

-Check the shift linkage cable to the shift arm at the transmission.
Is it still connect good? If so, check transmission fluid. (Must be full to indicator level when it's hot while the engine is still running.)
Automatic transmission can't run without fluid.

If this is a regular conversion then any adaptor plates you need will be available at speed shops that specialise in this conversion.

First thing to do is have the computer scanned for trouble codes.

yes they are the same tranmission

They are round "cans" with wires attached. You should have SSA, SSB, SSC, Torque converter and Pressure Control solenoids. They control pressures and have no mechanical linkage.
