Check that the fluid reservoir is full of windshield wiper fluid and that the pump is not worn out or burnt out. May have to get a new pump and remove and replace to fix this problem. Also, check that the windshield wiper fluid is winter type and not summer type in cold climates.

What is washer fluid

Hi there:
Also called windshield wiper fluid, wiper fluid, screen wash or washer fluid... is a fluid for motor vehicles that is used in cleaning the windshield with the windshield wiper while the vehicle is being driven. If you have some warning about this, check level fluid.

Chemical recipe: You can use the house hold glass cleaner, store brand, and dilute that with water to 1/2. You would get two yields for the price of one. One gallon of water to a cup of white vinegar is good too. If the smell is too much then reduce vinegar to a level you can deal with.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

My windshield washer reservoir won't hold washer fluid.

The seam on the windshield fluid container is broken and leaking like crazy.

Good fues and new washer pump. still not pumping fluid. Not frozen either. Wipers and controls seem to still work at trun signal arm??

The little pipes that spray the windshield washer fluid clog very easily. Use either a very thin piece of wire or a very small drill bit (a welder's "tip cleaner" works perfect!) to clean out the sprayers. Use only 100% bottled washer fluid and not tap water since the minerals will clog up the sprayers.

Make sure the rubber hoses between the pump and the sprayers did not pop off or split. If your fluid level goes down but you get no spray it is going somewhere it is not supposed to.

When you activate your windshield washers, you should be able to hear that little pump run- it makes a very distinctive sound. If you do not hear it, there is a wiring problem.

Front windshield washer won't work. Full of fluid.

Check the washer pump. It is located under the air cleaner assembly. There will be a connector with tow terminals. there should be power on the red wire anytime the washer button is pressed. There should be ground on the black wire at all times. If there is no power than check the washer fluid fuse and relay in the underhood fuse block. If there is power than the pump is probably bad.

My windshield wipers work but I cant squirt windshield cleaner

it's likely the tiny motor/pump located at the bottom of the tank that has failed. to confirm this have some turn on the washer fluid switch and test for voltage at the pump. there are several aftermarket pumps you can use as a replacement.
