still won't crank ? how's your battery ? starter ? starter solonoid ? if your engine does'nt crank , its dead ! would'nt you check the battery first ? then move on with checking the starter circuit ? seems like your putting the cart before the horse ! first of all, when you run out of gas, you need to replace the FUEL FILTER, your engine just sucked the dirt, garbage, etc., out of the tank. there's plenty of sediment in the tank, don't know how it gets there, but, you'd be surprized ! talking threw experience !!! I operate heavy equipment, its a cardinal sin to run out of fuel !!! you say you replaced the inline filter, which one, up by the engine or the main filter, under vehicle along frame ? are we talking about the same animal, PLEASE CLARIFY !
you can check the relays/try this.just trune the key on.wait a minet or 2.try that.some time.in some cars.the gas flow no to .but throuigh the lines .and use what it needs.there is a regerlater.need to see if it is working right.sorry.thats the best i can do.
No need to pump the gas on any modern car. This is a fuel injected car and if you are smelling fuel there is a problem and you should take it to a qualified mechanic.
more than likely burned out fuel pump need to replace unit, problem is it comes as a complete unit, pump and sending all in one. I have the same issue estimate cost $246 for unit and time if you do it yourself with some help, or lots if you take it to a pro.
