Saab 1999 95 keeps cutting off. We have reset the Throttle Box and thought that was it but it started doing the samething. It will start with no problem and might run 30 min to an hr then it will cut off, sometimes it starts right back up and other times you have to wait hrs for it to start again. We pulled a code of p1251 but after setting the throttle and resetting the codes nothing has showed up. Anyone know what this is? Need to have it fixed quick. Thanks

SOURCE: saab 9-5 need to give alittle throttle for cold engine start

the idle air control valve may be bad or just needs cleaned out. idle air control valve acts the same as a choke. if it is messing up it will cause engine not to run right.

92 Saab keeps dying, won't hold charge....

You have the battery and the alternator and the alternator belt and if they are working fine there must be something that is draining the battery. You need an auto electrician to check what the drain is. In such cases,on various vehicles, the BCM, body control module, proves to have something to do with it. Get A GOOD AUTO ELECTRICIAN to check if there is a particular component

My 98 gmc safari starts but won't stay started unless u keep putting gas into the throtal thing behind the airvent I already changed the fuel filter still doing the same thing help

It might be your fuel pump not getting fuel to throttle body. Disconnect fuel line to throttle housing get someone to turn car over and see if fuel is getting pumped up. If not the pump could be faulty or fuel filter blocked. Also check to see if you car has a fuel cut of reset button it could just need a reset.

Check the battery and the Alternator. Sometimes with these Saabs, when the alternator or the battery start to go bad, you will have many different symptoms all to do with just one issue. You can remove the battery and the alternator, take it to a parts store and they do free testing on those and they can tell you if either is bad or not. The Alternator needs to be out of the vehicle to be tested.

I have a 2004 saab 9-3 the car was in a wreck we replaced the radiators headlights front bumper and relay box next to the battery from a donor car do you think that i need to have the computer reprogramed...

no you may have a bad ignition switch, if it was only relays. if that box contained a computer then that another story. also make sure you dont have a fuel cut off sensor that stops fuel on impact, also does engine spin but not start or does it do nothing.

Car cuts out in traffic

Hi guys, obviously this could be any number of problems, but the most common ones to cause this is a dirty throttle intake housing, usually a good clean up rectifys this, also check the small vacum hoses for any splits or perishing as this also can cause this problem, hope this helps you's out,Bill.

Check gearbox light, car drives sluggish, heater cuts off.

You have a bad gearbox position sensor located on the transmission. When the transmission computer sees the fault in that sensor it goes into a protective mode in your car starts out in second gear that's why it is sluggish. This is a very common failure on that car. The heater issue is not related.
