Does the distribution box always power on even with the ignition switch off because my 99 Plymouth Voyager Distribution Center box is giving up power even with the ignition switch off please let me know ASAP
Power is applied to the distribution box at all times via a red lead from battery to fuse #23 (40 Amp)...The ignition switch applies power through the clutch switch (Stick-shift)...If fuse #23 is not blown there should be power only at and through the fuse...However with ignition switch off there should NOT be power on the Yellow/Red lead of connector C-2 pin #3...C-2 connects to the power distribution box...using a volt meter ...ignition off...measure pin 3 for [email protected]

Hello! The (+) battery cable is touching chassis ground at one of two likely places...#1...At the connection to the starter motor...#2...at the underside of the power distribution center...There are two Red cables leaving the + battery post...One is going to the starter motor and the other to the Power Distribution Center...
First...Disconnect the (+) terminal from the battery..visually inspect the connection point at the starter motor...Insure it is not near or touching ground....Follow the smaller of the two Red leads to the distribution center...The cover has the word "Positive" and an arrow pointing to where that Red lead terminates...Check for signs of burning...Visually inspect the Red lead from the battery to where it connects to the distribution center...Remove and inspect the underside of the Distribution center for a contact point to ground...Send a comment with results...Guru...Saailer
