yes there is, but unfortunatly this is tied in with other componets, best way to accheive this is to locate the chime itsself, and just unplug it. its most likely installed under the lower driver side of the dash, or in the center console just under the dash.

Check the fuse labeled "small light" might be in the under hood fuse panel. If its blown you likely have a short some where.

I would check the switch with a multimeter and see if it is working properly. If it is ok then it's time to check the wiring from the blower all the way to the fuse block.

Easiest way to do this is go to a junkyard and take one off another car. shouldn't cost more than a couple dollars. You won't even need tools it's a plastic hand screw.

Just an indication that a sensor has probably gone bad, and thus the sysem has defaulted to "off". You can test this, of course... Find a safe place, accelerate to 50 MPH. Hit brakes as hard as you possibly can press them.
