Hello and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for at least 5mins. before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get your vehicle back to it's normal operation.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

2000 Toyota Corolla wont start Changed 02 sensor disconnected bat

I had the same problem, i had to remove the whole alarm system to get my car to start, when you unattatch the battery cables, the alarm notices the battery drain and sets the alarm off, i have no idea how much the dealership would charge for a new remote, but im sure its pricey, i would recommend just removing the alarm system, temporarily, until you can get a new remote. Good luck and god bless

2006 toyota Corolla

I believe ABS was standard on this car for that year. Did you use the ABS key to unlock pressure to ensure you bled the brakes properly. I have seen too many times where a key was not used and similar issues prevailed. If you can take a picture of your engine bay I could assist you further.
