I would start at the ignition switch as thats where the power comes from to power up the fuses for these components, there are power wires from the engine compartment that come throught the dash in the center or rather come through the firewall, i belive its about 4-6 wires with a connector plug under the center of the dash, the connector heats up and causes a bad connection, start by located that first then check the postive side of the battery for a bad power wire connection if its not the main power wires that i told you about in the center of the dash, you can get to them from the driverside under the dash. let me know the outcome.

1989 Wrangler. Why doesn't right turn signal blink?

you could try checking the fuses, but from looking the fuse that does the blinkers also does a lot of other things. What happens if you put the 4 way flashers on?

Look for bad grounds or broken wires up under the front wheel.

Which fuse for my jeep wrangler 97 is for the ciggarette lighter?

Hi, the 1997 Wrangler has two fuses to check. Both in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) under the hood. Fuse 3 supplies the accessory circuits through the ignition key and energizes the coil of the accessory relay. If your radio works that fuse is OK. The other fuse, fuse 5 supplies the power to the accessory socket when the relay is energized. The relay is behind the glove box and mounted to a stack of multi-wire connectors.

Which fuse???? could be any number of issues. obviously you have a short somewhere. have you made any recent upgrades to stereo equipment, etc. start jeep with all accessories off, then turn on and off each individually. when fuse blows you found the potential problem.

Jeep wrangler Fuse box

You have two locations for the fuse box. One is either under the hood or behind the glove box. I would pull apart the glove box and take a look.
