Common noise heard when the brake pads are getting close to the end of its life and will need to be replaced. Replace the brake pads and rotors since the rotors are not that expansive, might as well replace them also.

Good luck and stay safe, thank you for using fixya.

Have you checked your belts under your hood, to see if they are loose?

Just an FYI... Check E-BAY for the brake rotors, I got brand new drilled and slotted rotors for my '06 altima for the same price as having my old ones machined($15 each ... That was including shipping) ...best of luck

Will a 1996 chevy blazer LS 4wd differential fit into a 2000 chevy blazer LS rwd rear end ?

Measure the lenth of both rear ends. see iss all hardware will bolt up without fabrication. if its the same size it will work. But im afraid being a 4 wheel drive it will be geared lower then a regular pick up/ Drive shaft may work but if not it would have to be shortened or lenghthebed. alot of work. Brakes you could leave the non drum breaks on better stopping power. I honestly believe you would be better off just going to a scrap yard and find one very easy to remove and replave few hour job.

I have a 1996 Chevy Blazer. A few days ago, I heard a clunking / grinding noise from underneath when I was turning. Sense, then it has gotten worse and got to the point that it was loud and vibrated the...

This truck should not be operated on the street in 4WD mode. You need to investigate the front axel CV axel shafts as well as the outer axel carrier bearings. Damage to front brake rotors and possible lock down while operating the vehicle. Safety hazard exist, so do not drive until axel and bearings are checked and repaired

1996 toyota camary load rear end noise when apply brakes

The most common cause is that the brake pads are worn, causing the audible wear indicator to sound a squealing or scraping sound.

Abs light stays on pulls to the right makes loud whinning humming noise that gets louder the faster you drive.

It sounds like the sensor may have failed on the right side and is always applying brakes on that tire.If you have to replace one pad then replace them both.Good luck! Greg

Loud slam & jolt after touching breaks & loud pop in sharp turn

First the obvious, I can't tell by sound descriptions. But it is helpful nonetheless. Have you visually inspected wheels? Removed wheel and looked at brake pads? Calipers sticking? Have they ever been rebuilt? System purged of old brake fluid? Are blazers front wheel drive? or even 4 wd? then front drive system is causing noise when steering. Not front driven? Then I don't have a clue.

1996 buick regal 3.8L. Rear brakes loud thumping

Check for leaks in the brake lines and calipers or brake cylinders. If leaking have it repaired right away its not safe. Change the brake fluid, take the old fluid out add new fluid or have it professionally done.

Chevy won't start and brake is locked up too.

Probably broke the neutral safety switch. Try putting the gearshift in neutral. If the truck cranks then, it is definately the switch. Try this and let me know if it helps :)
