I have a 2001 buick regal, AC works great but now I need the heat and in the morning all that comes out is ice cold air until after about 30 minutes then I will get hot air sometimes for only a little bit sometimes for quite a while. Than in the afternoon when I am leaving and its warmer outside everything is off and I get hot air. What is up with this? is is the thermostat or something else?

SOURCE: Low Coolant light flashing on 1996 Buick Regal 3.8

The low coolant sensor should be located in the passenger side radiator tank, You need to take it out and clean the sludge off of it for it to work right. Or you can just unplug it and forget about it, the light will go out and it won't cause any problems.

SOURCE: 1992 buick regal won't start in the mornings after

Next time it happen.

Put your foot on the brake, shift the gear selector to neutral "N" and start the car.

There is a switch call neutral safety switch and it can be intermittent.

If you can start the car in "N" and not in "P" then neutral safety switch is at fault.

Replace it as soon as possible to prevent damage to the wiring and transmission computer.

a clogged ac drain will prevent the system from performing properly.

2002 Buick Rendezvous no heat and over heated after warming it up for over 30 minutes.

Have a pressure test done on your cooling system, you sound like you could have a leak in your system or your system just needs to have the air bled from it. Check your coolant level also, with air in the system and not enough coolant it will blow cold and cause overheating.

1998 buick regal gs heat blows hot on passenger side and cold on the driver side.

Same problem on my 98 Regal GS; remove glove box, locate the blend door actuator, (black odd shaped box with metal "ring"). Remove the box and manually turn the blend door shaft it was attached to. If you get cold air, it's the actuator you removed. About 30-40 dollars.

2001 Toyota Corolla. AC works great in morning.

You are not going to like my solution. By law the only people who can work on a/c or licensed to do so. There is a fine and jail time for those who violate.

If sorry but I would rather see you hot and free than cool and playing basket ball with the other inmates.

I have a 1999 Buick Regal LS with and air conditioner problem. The car died and had to be jumped started. Checked the battery, it needed to be changed. As soon as I did that, my dual control AC unit quit...

Make sure the battery produces enough power...I think minimum cold-start power for this car is 550 amps, although I would recommend more, especially if you added any performance stuff, especially amps, which would draw more power. Also, check your fuses and wiring.
