SOURCE: hOW MUCH OIL GOES IN A 2000 CAD DEVILLE, 32 VALVE

It's going to take about 7.5 to 8 Quarts. All Northstar engines are like that, so no worries.

SOURCE: Oil type to use

either will be adequate. if you live in a hot temp zone run the 20/40 and if it cools off (freezing) during winter change to 5/30. Moderate year round your 20/40 will be fine. I would also use a bottle of Lucas Racing Oil treatment with the change. Don't forget your filter. I also suggest using full synthetic, yeah it costs more but worth it.

the dimmer switch would be where I would look first. See if the conditions change after turning the lights brighter and dimmer.

SOURCE: 2010 Vibe Type & Quanity of Eng Oil

The 5-30W gives the oil a better heat range, so when you go to Florida, the engine oil keeps it's viscosity better.
The 5-W20 has a lower heat range and is great in the upper states and canada where the temperature is not as hot as Florida or Texas.
The 0-W20 is even better if your in the colder climate like Alaska so the oil is not that thick, and when you have the start the engine first thing in the morning, the oil can move quicker to the upper part of the engine.
Best thing is no matter what oil you use, just as long as you follow the recommended oil change duration. Your going to be fine and have a long lasting engine and also make sure you warm up the engine first before running it hard to have the piston and cylinder walls expand the same time. As you run the engine hard when it's cold, the pistons expand quicker then the cylinder walls and after a few years. The pistons and cylinder walls will have to much play and you get piston slaps till the engine warms up.
Good luck and hope this helps and the 5-W30 is more forgiving if you go over a few miles between oil changes.

SOURCE: 1995 Cad. Deville. Engine light on, runs rough

If you havnt had it diagnosed it could have a couple hundred codes it can be. Suggestions don't count for nothing. They just cost you more money if you dont get it diagnosed.

Hello Everyone, I have a 1995 toyota corolla, I am just curious I was told that I need to put 20w/50 on my car when i do oil change, I dont know whether this is good for my car, so if you guys think it is...

20w/50 is good for your car especially if it has a few miles on the clock. It is the viscosity rating for the oil and is relevant in ambient temperature areas when a thinner oil 10w/20 is required for freezing or higher oil 30w/50 for high temperatures . What is relevant is if you have a cat converter The letters after the viscosity rating They will be SC--Sd -SA and so on and relate to the suitability of the oil when used in an engine with a cat converter or with close tolerances and special metals used in the engine construction. . The details are normally on the bottle label and will refer to specific makes of cars . You could even run diesel oil 20w/ 50 in you engine and it will clean out all the sludge because of the heavier detergent additive . It only means replacing the oil filter every 5000miles as it filters out the sludge.

What kind of oil do you i use in a 1995 cad sedan deville

What ever your heart desires.
If its not burning oil then it would not be a waste to use a full synthetic. The oil fill cap may recomend 5w 30. Personaly I don't go lower than 10w 30.
1, I live in California and I don't have freezing winters.
2, The low numbers are based on what the EPA recommends. Its for the enviroment and not engine protection. The less resistance that you may get from a heavier oil means less emmisions.

I have a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup 360 5.9 with low oil pressure problems, it drops to 0 at idle and will raise back up to normal (35-50) when rev. up, when i take off it will raise back up and then drop when...

wow first thing i would do is get that 50w oil out of that engine, as you are straining that new pump. i would compare that to trying to drink syrup through a straw versus water. i wouldn't go any more than 20w-50 and is pretty heavy, 10w-30 would probably be your best bet. as for the low pressure i would check the pick-up tube screen to make sure it is clear and free of restriction, make sure you have the correct oil filter installed, and correct oil level. if there is a knocking sound heard you likely have worn rod bearings. if you need to further dianose you may want to check the oil passages from the cylinder head going down to the oil pan and make sure they are clear and there is no sludge in the engine, this can be done by removing the valve covers and making sure oil is being pumped to the top of the engine while running but use caution as this can get messy, maybe use cardboard to keep oil in cylinder head and from spilling out on to exhaust manifolds. hope this was helpful if so please rate 4 thumbs up.

Replace the license plate light bulb-'99 cad DeVille

Hello,

Please follow the instructions below carefully to change the bulbs in the licence plate of your cad deville;
1.All you have to do is put a flat blade screw driver on the right side of the bulb housing and gently push to the left. This will release the catch holding it in and it will drop out and down on the end of its wiring connector.

2.1/4 turn the bulb and remove. Replace the bulb and just put the housing back into the opening left side first, then just push up on the right side till you hear a click. Takes about 1 min per light. Works for all Deville types from 99-08

Good luck.

Well, I can tell you with certainty you got a lemon.....but seriously.....you know you could sue this person due to the "lemon law". Other than that....you have a bad seal....sort of hard to say where....looking at a pic of the motor right now....could be several places in the front...but the main one would be where your harmonic balancer is and that is a pain to reseal....gotta pull the motor to pull the timing chain cover off and reseal the front seal.
