There is no adjustment. The park lights are on a different circuit than the brake lights.
Do you have a third brake light that works. Its also on a different circuit but works from the same switch. Do your turn signals work. They use the same filament as the brake lights.
Also, the brake light circuit goes through the multi function (turn signal) switch.

Since the brake lights and turn signal lights use the same filament in the bulbs, the brake light circuit will pass through the turn signal switch. When a turn signal is used it cancels out the brake light for that side.

Let me know if your third brake light and turn signals work in the rear.
Also, if youy have not already, check/change the bulbs. The type of sockets those lights are in also get burned so look at them well.

No park lights or brake lights or dash board lights

It could be caused by a problem with the electrical system or the wiring or the wiring for the park lights and the brake lights to be working.Or the light bulbs might need to be replaced then.

1999 Yukon Denali stop shifting out of park.

Check the brake lights when this happens, if they are not on then you have found the problem it is the brake light circuit. Go under the dash if the brick lights don't work and check the brake light switch above the brake pedal, it should have 12 volts in and out with the brake pedal pushed down. See typical brake light switch location below. #4 in diagram is brk lite switch.

Brake lights won't come on after changing brake booster on 97 gmc 1500. Also won't shift into gear.

check for a bad brake light fuse! if not the fuse, the brake light switch operates brake lights and if bad you will not be able to shift it out of park, as well as the brake lights not coming on.! because you have to put foot on brake to do so. if bad switch, it wont let it out of park. it could be just out of adjustment also!! good-day !

The brake lights on my 2000 yukon denali stopped working, The upper light works and I checked the fuses. I replaced the bulbs. The running lights work fine.

If the circuit has power and the fuse is good the problem is most likely the switch. Look under the dash above the brake pedal arm. There is a small plunger type switch which is activated when the brake pedal is depressed. Sometimes this switch gets loose and or out of adjustment. There are two nuts on the shaft (one on each side of the mount). They should be adjusted so the brake lights activate when the brake pedal is depressed about 1/2 inch. If adjustment does not activate the lights use a multimeter and see if the switch is good by touching each of the two wires and depressing and releasing the switch. If there is no difference replace the switch.

2007 Yukon tail stop lights wont light up

It sounds like the brake switch, that is usually located along the shaft of the brake peddle under the dash, these sometimes are in a bracket for ajustment may not be able to depress switch. Falow starting at peddle go up to dash, you should be able to see it. Hope this helps.

Brake switch

look above the pedal and you should see a switch that looks like a plunger with wires coming out of it unplug the wire harness and then the switch should "pop" right out of the bracket or might be screwed in take it to dealer or autoparts store, some parts like that are dealer only if you can wait check out GMpartsdirect.com
