My horn stopped working. It started fading out a couple of months after I purchased it in January 2011. I noticed this happening when I would use the key fob to lock the vehicle. Eventually it stopped working altogether and worked only 1 time since. Now I have replaced the horn with an OEM replacement & swapped the relay with the fog light relay which powered the fog lights perfectly. Any suggestions as to what could be causing the horn to not work.

First thing to do is make sure you have power to the horn ie use a multimeter on the horn when pushed in , if so the horn does have a adjustment screw on them and need to be retuned , or if no power going to the horn try the fuse and good fuse contact good luck colin

Please dont worry yourself so much the security locks needs to be reprogrammed to enable it work effectively. Same happens to other vehicles as well.

Consult Hyundai garage close to you or if you have it in your manual.

SOURCE: 2007 Saturn Aura; when trying remote start horn

To expand on rickb63, the tones are indicating that the remote start cannot be activated. The usual culprit in this situation is the hood latch. There is an electric switch that tells the car that the hood is closed. If the hood is opened during the remote start sequence, the vehicle will stop. Likewise, a malfunctioning switch will prevent the remote start from engaging.

2011 Double Cab. When the ignition is on, the horn works. When I start the car, why does it stop working?

The horn circuit is relatively straight forward for a '11 vehicle... the horn switch via clock spring energizes the horn relay that powers the two horns.

Check grounds at the horn(s). If no problem found, check if the relay is being energized.

Crusie control does not work on 2011 gmc sierra 1500 and I've already replaced the switch?

If the switch is replaced, then it can be wiring issue or faulty cruise control board. But as the switch is replaced, get the voltage at the switch tested to confirm the switch is actually receiving voltage. If no voltage received at switch power supply wire then ,apply external 12 volt power to the cruise control switch wire and then see if cruise control comes ON.If yes, then you know wiring is issue.

My lights horn and radio work but car wont start on my 2004 ford escape

The battery is dead, you need to check the distilled water in the battery or charge the battery. If that doesn't work you need a new battery. That happened to me a couple months back...

Horn stops work periodically

hi , if like a similar problem i had years ago , the problem is either a bad connection on the steering wheel or an earth fault on the horn its self ? the car i had the fault on was a mk1 golf and under the steering wheel was a copper strip round the neck of the wheel where its connected to steering rod.....the connection (similar to a motor armature brush) was not making a good connection, i cleaned them with wire wool and hey presto. hope this helps??

Horn Relay replaced multiple times in a few months

Actually you use the horn relay a lot! At least 3 times every time you get lock/unlock your car (6 toots, 2 toots for lock and 1 for unlock right?) ... You just said: "as i clicked my car to lock. It got weaker and weaker until it stopped working" Buy a different brand relay (preferably one not made in China, pay more) and don't expect they WILL last a long time the horns take a lot of power and they have a very dirty feedback to the relay un-like lights. You can dis-able the toots by reading your owners manual.

Horn stopped blowing

Sounds like you may have corroded terminals on the horn itself.

Find the horn in the engine compartment - remove the wire connected to it - clean the spade terminal with some sand paper and push the terminal back on. If that doesn't work you may need to remove the horn from the car and clean up the earth connection, i.e. where the horn is attached to the body work of the car to get a good electrical contact.
