Any leak or damage due to ac compressor failure may cause serious damages. For preventive maintenance, keep track of the part's working conditions to prevent compromising the functionality of other engine components. Good thing premium quality factory equivalents to your stock ac compressor are conveniently available for specific vehicle applications. As the part constantly handles the harsh fluids and tough working conditions, structural weaknesses of conventional ac compressor replacements have been addressed in constantly improving the functionality of the part. When looking for the right compressor replacement, putting you money on quality and durable products is advised.

Jaguar x type air con compressor wont engage

ac compressors are protected by high pressure and low pressure switches in the system. If the ac compressor will not engage it may be --no gas--too much gas ---blockage in the system--- no cooling fan for the condensor-- burnt out clutch behind the pulley
have an accredited ac specialist check it out.

Noisy air conditioning pump

Hi guys,
I have a 2.0 diesel X type and when the AC is switched on and the centre of the pulley on the compressor goes around it sounds like there is a very noisy rattle from the engine. It is OK when AC is not on. any ideas, and can this be fixed without replacing the compressor.

My 2004 jaguar x-type ac is not working. the temp gauge inside shows that the ac is on, but nothing is blowing out of the vents. Please advise

check freon level first. You should hear the compressor clutch kick on under the hood when you turn it on. Can you hear and see it come on and start spinning the compressor?

When I turn on the a/c in my 2004 s-type jaguar, the compressor does not come on. How to check to see if it is the relay switch?

The most common problem with AC systems is low coolant pressure and many systems will prevent the compressor from turning on to protect ti from damage. If the coolant has leaked, the lubricant in the system could also be missing which could cause the compressor to seize. Checking the coolant pressure only takes a few moments and shouldn't cost much to have measured. I would do this before being concerned about a relay malfunction.

How to recharge ac on 2003 s-type

Hello AC is a little tricky when it comes to Jaguar cars as it has a certain system to charge the AC. If the problem is only low on AC gas , you have to pressure test the gas circulation to make sure that there is no leak , as recharging will not do the trick if it is a leak problem. If it is a matter of short on gas and pressure test proves that there are no leaks , then all what you have to do is connect the gas supply to the inlet gas pipe and charge slowly and on phases , while engine is running and AC is at low speed. You have to feed the gas at more than one time and close as Jaguar would not take the gas at once , it has to be done more than once at small portions so that it will take the gas. It is tricky as you have to know about AC pressure values , as if you put less that required AC would not cool properly , and if too much Compressor will disconnect and would not run properly Hope that helps
