In the diagram, the brown wire is voltage for power windows. Goes hot when you turn on the key. Voltage comes from the power window circuit breaker. The black wires in the middle of diagram are ground. Use a testlite to check voltage on brown wire, key on. If the brown wire has voltage, to check the black wire for ground, use a testlite between brown wire and black wire. If lite comes on, you have voltage and ground.

My 2003 Nissan Xterra’s passenger side window isn’t working. I’ve replaced the motor and the regulator and I can get it to go down, but not up. Can someone please help? I just replaced my battery and I...

No, that's not the issue. You have one broken wire from the passenger door window switch to the master switch on the driver's door. Look at the color of the wires at the passenger switch: 3 wires come into it from the cabin, one is a power wire-it must be good if the window goes one way. One of the other two wires (coming from the master switch on driver's door and through the cabin and out to passenger door switch) is broken.
Look for a broken wire in the door openings.

2005 Gmc Sierra 5.3 litter SLT. Wire diagram for passanger side power window. No power to door.

Do the power door locks work for that door ? Does you vehicle have door courtesy lights , turn signals on the mirror ? If your vehicle has these other options an they work , you have power to the door . There is an electronic module inside the door ,called passenger door module ! where did you check for power at , the window switch ! These are computer controlled an you would only see a few volts when pushing the switch !

  1. Monitor the passenger front window status in the passenger door module inputs list.
  2. Activate the passenger power switch on the passenger door module in the up and down positions.
Does the window status data parameter change accordingly?

1998 olds cutlass driver side window switches dont work except for the switch that controls the passenger side front door window that works but all others dont work, would that mean need a new switch or...

Do the individual door switches work their windows? If so, it would be the driver's side door switch, the master switch, that is bad.
The fact that one window works off the driver switch means that power for the windows is at least getting to the master switch, and that the ground for all power windows is good. If the other door switches work, it is just the master switch, not a wiring problem.

I have a 2004 dodge ram 2500, the passenger window switches don't work

Not uncommon, the master window switch on the driver's door goes wonky. Mine had same problem (2003 1500 4.7L long cab) and simply replacing the master switch fixed both bad passenger switch intermittent problems. Easy swap, cheap at the dealer.

I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan. The passenger side front window goes down but will not go back up.

almost all the time it's the switch. The passenger side has two switches will the window go up with the switch on the passenger door? If it does it might not go down with the passenger door switch. Down with the master and up with the passenger switch is common. If it works like this both switches are good and you have a brocken wire. The wire can be found with a test light hooked to ground and then hooked to power. It requires that both switches be popoed up out of the door panel. ( pry up at the rear of the switch, then it pulls reaward and up) With both switches up look to see which wires are the same color. put the test lights point into the back of the plug right next to the wire. with the key on work the switch. it will light in one direction. go to that same colored wire in the other switch plug and work the switch the same way. If the light comes on the same its good. then check the other wire. the wire that doesn't work is broke. I'll even tell you where it's broke at!? Right inside the boot in the drivers side door hindge area. Unhook the boot and pusit back till you can see the wires ( theres a bunch and find the one thats the same color) pull on it and it'll come free as it's broke find both ends and connect them ( Oh thats right it'll break again for the same reason it broke the first time ) So add a peice of wire ( Hopefully the same color but it's not required) make the connections and then get in the kick panel and find the wire and pull the repair though then with the door panel out of the way pull ithought there too and you have a new wire where it bends and it'll stay fixed for awhile

Dome light stays on/passenger lock switch blows fuse when unlocki

Let me guess? You cut the wires. You are supposed to disconnect all of them in the old door and pull them through. Then you remove door. Remove wires from donor door. Install donor door and pull the original UN-CUT wires through and re-connect.

Passenger power window on 1987 4 runner wont work

I can't read and guess that the passenger door window doe'nt work. The switch on the passenger side will not et the window operate from either switch the master can be bad and it won't work from either switch. The switches are not often a problem compared to jamed windows and burned out or rusted motors. All the wires at the passenger switch are at the master switch except the motor wires for the passenger door, their colors don't change so if one desnt get there electrically the window won't work as this is an old car the door hige area has the wire harnesse and the broken wire is almost always in the driver door hinge area, with the driver kick panel removed find where the wires come out of the tube coming from the door. pull on them one at a time and the one that pulls out is broke. Connect a new wire in the kick area to the wire coathanger wire the new wire thoght the tube into the door take the door panel off find the samcolor wire pull on it and it will come out connect your new wire and its done! Shure there can be more than one wire broke and the switches can fail. Tesw by aking the wire pluged inton the passenger motor put in a test light and try the switches with the key on one direction will light one wire and the other direction the other wire. noting the color of the wires plug the motor back in and find them at the door swich in the passenger door put power and ground from a battery chager jumper cables or ajump box on the motor wires reverse the wires and try again if it still doesnt work and makes no sound you'll need to change the motor. Most parts stores will have the motor in stock but the driver motor is more popular but it wont fit. Be careful removeing and puting the panels as they are hard to rpair and even herder to find an aceptable replacement. Your parts store or dept store can provide you with the right panel tools. Money changes everything with these tools cheap tools make ahard job harder saving old panels is diffacult with the best tools. Professtional help from a practiceing mechanic may save money time and finished quality. This is a hard job to teach yourself. Do it yourself for the first time with a person who's done it before at leasttill you see how it goes if you have to do this work yourself

All windows but drivers won't go up or down 2001 GMC yukon

If they sound like they are trying to do something it's not the lock out switch . But to be sure pulling out the switch an testing for B+ voltage to and from the switch . Plus pull the other door switches to see if they have B+ voltage and good grounds would be the thing to do.. If you don't know how to check automotive electrical circuits your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop .
Passenger Power Window Operation
The passenger power window switches incorporate window up and down relays. The relay coil feed and supply sides are powered through the RAP fuse supply voltage circuit. The normally closed contacts of each relay is connected to ground. The load side of each of the relays are connected to either side of the power window motor through the power window up and down circuits. The up and down relay control circuits are connected to the normally closed contacts of the passenger window switch. These contacts are wired in series with the power window master switch, through the power window master switch up and down signal circuits and then to ground when the power window master is placed in the up or down position. This allows for the up and down operation of the passenger power window from the power window master switch. The center pole of the passenger power window switch is also connected to ground and will energize the relay when placed in the up or down position.

Driver Power Window Operation
The driver power window is unique from the passenger power windows in that it does not use window up and down relays. The driver power window is operated directly from the power window switch.
The normally closed contacts of the switch are connected to ground and the center pole is connected to the RAP fuse supply voltage circuit. By placing the left power window switch in the down position, voltage is applied to the power window motor left front down circuit and to the power window motor. The other side of the power window motor is connected to ground through the normally closed contacts of the left power window switch through the power window motor left front up circuit and drives the window down.
By placing the left power window switch in the up position the polarity of the motor is reversed and the motor drives the window up.

Has circuit breaker for B+ power
• PWR WDO CB 25A (fuse block) (System power for left and right windows 2-door vehicles. System power for LF and LR windows 4-door vehicles)
• PWR WDO CB 25A (IP wiring harness junction block) (System power for RF and RR windows 4-door vehicles)

Could be passenger door switch .
