Where is the electronic control module located on 1998 Cadillac Catera?Where is the engine control module at and show a picture of it?Could a short in the wiring harness be bad that goes to the radio and speedometer and icons on dash if the radio has no sound and speedometer doesn't work?

You may also have lights on dash for engine, TCS and ABS. I had to replace the electronic control brake module (EBCM). New $2000 Cdn, used-$300 for my 2000 Caterra Sport. Also you can have it repaired at modulemasters.com for $160 US.

GM had gauge cluster problems from 2000-2005. Bad stepper motors. On those units you have to replace the cluster or rebuild it with new stepper motors. Dealership fixed mine for $150.00
