What fuel injection system does it have ? Center port fuel injection or fuel rail injection ? Are the injectors being controlled (turned on) by the PCM - engine computer ? Do you know how to test injector drives ? Injector driver is a transistor inside the PCM , that controls the on/off time of the injectors . I would check to make sure a plug wire hasn't been crossed.
It could be a bad plug wire right out of the box, but this happens rarely.

If you replaced the plug, wire and cap then it's either gona be the intake gasket seeping or a bad valve. Gasket more than likely I'd say bc the vortec motors are really bad about leaking or blowing the lower intake gaskets

Try the Ignition Coil.

Check if its getting spark at plugs. Check if its getting fuel. Look at air filter.

does the motor crank when key is turned?If so check for a spark at the plugs.Get an auto electrician bypass your alarm

Fuel pump going out. Dirty spark plugs. Bad gas. torn or broken spark plug wires. for starters.

1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

You either have a bad spark plug wire or coil pack. The light gray color on plug is normal.
