Brake light switch..Try to wiggle the wires at the switch while depressing the brake,,and see if they come on...If its not the brake switch,,it could be the signal switch..The signals can work,,but it also has the brake light circuit running through the switch..

My brake lights and turn signals dont work

Stop in at an Advance Auto Parts place and get new fuses. That's all that's needed.

Passat back light

The light bulbs are probably dual element bulbs which would mean your night lights are separate from your brake and signal lights, even if they are in the same bulb. Replace the bulbs with new ones of the exact same type.

I cannot get my back up light or my brake light to work. my blinker light and my running light work fine. just the backup lights and the stop lights are giving me problems.

CHECK ALL BULBS IF BULBS OKAY,REASON REVERSE LIGHTS DONT WORK YOU HAVE FAULTY INHIBITOR SWITCH.FOR BRAKE LIGHTS NOT TO WORK,EITHER BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH FAULTY OR TURN SIGNAL BAD,BECAUSE MOST CARS NOW TURN SIGNAL SWITCH AND BRAKE LIGHTS SHARE SAME CIRCUIT.

The brake lights on a 2003 liberty dont work but the top one does

Double filiments in the brake light bulbs allow brake lights and turn signals to work, it"s possible both your brake light bulbs are burned out even though your turn signal lights still work. The top brake light still works which means electricity is reaching the brake lights.

No brake lights, turn signals, or 4-ways.

Did you actually check the bulbs? I believe your brake lights, signal lights, hazards all use the same bulb for each side.

Your brake lights may be your brake switch just above your brake pedal.
The signals could be your electronic flasher module (EFM) located under the dash near the steering column.
Your hazards may be affected by the EFM, but not likely and the switch for your hazards may be faulty

2003 Impala Brake lights dont work

The brake lights are routed through the signal light switch.
Looks like that will be the next switch to replace and the problem.

Turn signals work but the brake lights do not how do i get them to work? i already changed the flasher.

I have a 2001 Ford F150, my brake lights dont work. Ive replaced the bulbs, checked the fuses, and the brake switch on side of the brake pedal was replaced. I still dont have any brake lights. My third brake light works fine, along with my running lights, flashers, blinkers.

Brake light dont work

check the fuse for the brake lights. The brake lights and siganl lights use the same bulb filament. The parking and running lights use a dimmer filament in the bulb. There are 2 filaments.
Your brake lights work through the multifunction switch which operates the signal lights. If the signal lights work, you may have a bad brake lamp switch which is on your brake pedal arm.
