My 2007 Nissan Frontier came with a towing package. I find this morning that I have no brake lights or tuning lights on the trailer. I have running lights. Is the problem a fuse. I changed the 10amp mini fuse. Is a 30 amp fuse the problem, but which one. cannot determine which 30 amp is responsible for flasher.

SOURCE: towing capacity

There are two different hitches available for your vehicle A class I hitch, which is rated to tow up to 2,000 lbs, and a class II hitch which is rated to tow up to 3,500 lbs. Now this is based on the frame. To find out how much you can really tow, you'll have to go to your owners manual.

97 Grand Prix SE Sedan

Class I - #24659 - Installation Instructions
Class II - #36232 - Installation Instructions

97 Grand Prix GT, Coupe & Sedan Inc. GTP Package

Class I - #24660 - Installation Instructions
Class II - #36241 - Installation Instructions

These hitches I've listed are made by Draw-Tite, and you can view them here.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Factory Trailer tow package - fuses?

Look in the owners manual first. I have seen some of the fuse boxes under the back seat on the drivers side. Also try http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx. This should help. Mike

SOURCE: Trying to determine trailer towing capacity for my

From the information that i have been able to gather your maximum towing capacity is 85-8900lbs. You should always check your owners manual or with the manufacturer for towing capacities.

Where to find the wire going to the trailer towing plug for the braking.

As far as I know, your trailer towing package does not include a circuit for trailer braking. These packages normally only supply taillights, brake-lights, and turn signals.
RV sales and service dealerships should be able to help you.
God bless your efforts.

Tow my 2011 Nissan frontier behind my motorhome

I wouldn't flat tow any vehicle & expect
the transmission or transfer case, to be happy
about it,in the long run

If you study your owners manuals & service manuals
& towing stuff, you will see no manufacturer recommends
the driven wheels be on the ground.

I have 2014 frontier-so that is both ends, of a 4x4

I would put it on a trailer

Too much in the front & rear of the drive train, for me
to tow, other than a trailer

I guess having once owned a trans shop, you see my concerns

I need to hard wire a hopkins trailer brake controller on a 2004 nissan titan

I don\'t think it has wiring provided in the factory for the tow package either. Looking at the schematics, they appear to be different with no provision for connections. The aftermarket have a wide variety of tow packages available which are simple enough to install if you ability.

Threr is one which you have to drill a large hole in the rear bumper to fit the receiving end of the connector. This is designed so that a wide selection of adaptors can be plugged into it. The adaptors are designed to fit the fixture in the bumper and the other end is shaped to plug into what ever connector you are towing. You will find this knid of fixture on nearly any factory package.. (NO WIRES DANGLING UNDER THE VEHICLE.) additionally, when not in use, there is a spring loaded cover which closes over the fixture to keep contaminants from entering Although I am a Nissan Master techniton, I chose a long wheel base 1 ton long wheel base cab and chassis Toyota with a 3.0 V-6 which I opened the back of the cab and installed a sleeper. Then built a flatbed with removable sides. I use this to pull my Nissan 300Z race Car. I have one of these fixtures on my truck because I don\'t always use the same trailer and the connectors to the trailer for the lights and electric brakes are different. The kits come with a controler for the electric brakes which you can mount where ever you wish and the controller has adjustments to control sensitivity of the trailer brakes so you can adjust the trailer to stop with the truck about the same time instead of wearing out your brakes from the extra load. With my Toyota loades with an extra engine, transmission and diff. Air compressor. Generator. Tool box, pop up tent, oils and other fluids and other misc Items. Between the trailer, the truck and it\'s load it grosses out at 11,800 lbs. When we go to Texas world speed way, we take 45 south where where there are very few cops. We cruise at 80-85 mph in the truck without a problem If the trailer brakes don\'t work, it would take me a significant time to stop because my truck is rated for 9,500 lbs.I run the living piss out of it and it has given me no problems at all/Hmm How did I get on the subject of my Toyota flatbed? OH, it\'s because I use the trailer brake setup I described which has been flawless. There are places that specialize in selling truck accesories only. From camper top and wheels to a variety of tow packages.Check them out. Good luck..

I have the same problem as discribed below. 2007 Nissan Frontier -- Trailer running lights stopped working. Brake lights and turn signals still work. Where is the fuse for the trailers running lights....

the fuse is inside of the IPDM the white box on r/h side of truck by the battery. there is a black cover that you have to remove to see the white IPDM box. the IPDM has fuses and relays. the tail lamp fuse is the 10amp fuse las one in the row of fuses. its by it self with no fuses next to it. check the IPDM cover on the inside. its marked.

2005 Nissan Frontier...when I step on the brakes my right turn signal comes on but doesn't blink? when I turn on the Left turn signal and step on the brakes, it blinks just fine! What's causing this?????

If the turn signal bulbs are the same as the turn signal bulbs it would indicate the brake light on the left is not working. If the brake lights AND the right turn signal come on it could indicate a wire is getting a cross feed from an improper source. If you are comfortable with electrical systems - If you have a tow package you may want to check the wires to the trailer. Otherwise have it checked by an electrical shop.

I just installed the 7 pin factory trailer harness but i have no right turn or trailer markers . 2005 nissan frontier

In the passenger side behind the plastic kick panel there is a control module that works the trailer lights, if you got the towing package. My lights were malfunction and it turned out the unit in the kick panel was not wired up properly from the dealer. Have a dealer check it or get the installation diagrams from a nissan dealer or the web and investigate your module on your own. Best of luck.

2007 Nissian Frontier trailer lights

There should be a 30 AMP mini blade fuse in the fuse box under the hood that you are probably missing. I assume that since you got the relays with the wiring kit, that you got the kit from a Nissan dealer. If that is true, there should be a fuse in the kit also- in a sealed bag that has the "trailer wiring harness owner's manual" in it.

Hope this is helpful!
