Check the fuse first!! also,, Use a jumper wire to supply the motor with 12 volts to make sure the motor is either bad or good, if you find the motor is bad, then yes you need to replace it, according to autozone on a quick loo up of the 2 vehicles, the explorer takes a part number 40-2028 and the merc takes a part number 40-2021, so the answer to the quick swap would be no, as far as changing them, once you remove the inner door panel, and removing a couple of small bolts,, the motor change is fairly easy,, however,, I've found that a complete change of the window regulator isn' that much more, and ends the problem in total

Hello, I bought 1997 merc sable wagon with 125000

Rebuilding the transmission. That's quite a few miles on your transmission and the seals are finally letting go.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad (and expensive) news,

My windshield wiper blades wont work how can I fix this

Try checking the fuse for the wiper blades first if the fuse is good then check the relay for the wiper blades, if the fuse and the relay are both good it is possible that the wiper motor for the blades is bad.

1997 1500 4x4 chevy suburban

Wiper motor and washer motor is one and the same..Replace the wipper motor. In 4x4 hi your turn and pull motion is one and the same and will give some resistance, however you might check your CV joints to make sure the are not damaged.
