I have a 2000 chrysler lhs and it has 215k miles on it and still runs great engine wise. But awhile ago i was just driving down the road and my ****** stopped shiffting, my spedomete quit working, and my driver info center quit giving readings. Also my heated leather seats quit heating. Each one still has lights but no functionality. I tried replacing the tcm but i was just wondering if there were any other moduales that could be the problem? I plugged in my computer and i got a 1st and reverse incorect ratio code, a no speed sensor signal, a ****** malfunction, and a ****** circuit delay. I do have a stereo system in my car but i it shouldnt draw enough power to cause a short i wouldnt think. But who knows. Any help would be much oblidged! Thank you so much!

Also the trans will start in low, then shift into 3(technically 2nd) and someteims it does this very hard. other then only staying in one gear the trans is solid (for having 215k miles).

I could see one or two modules going out at the same time, however, you speak of a lot more than that happening all at the same time; which makes me think that the ECM or "Brain"/Computer in your car has probably out lived itself. I would start with having your ECM reset to see if that might cure it. If not, then you will have to replace the ECM. Typically on any vehicle with that many miles on, your going to experience more problems then the car is worth.

I would start by going and buying the specific repair manual for this vehicle. You can pick this up at your local Autozone or Checker O' Reilly auto part store. This will give you the specific specs per your vehicle to get the job done. Normally you can get this book for no more than 18.99 or so.

1997 jeep grand cherokee check gauges light comes on when the vehicle is cold about a mile down the road, the charge gauge to be precise. After the car is pulled over, the engine is shutdown and resta

there would have been enough induced voltage flying back through the electrical system to keep the motor running. This is not always a good test.A little bit more explanation would be helpful.Does that check gauge remain on or off while driving normally? When it goes off or on does it do it spasmodically or does it do it until you restart the engine?Regards

Replaced cracked radiator in 2000 Chrysler LHS but car still overheating. What could be the problem?

fix the radiator first.because coolant temperature sensor need to be in antifreeze.when antifreeze get up to 190 degrees. the coolant sensor act as a thermostat.it resistance decrease then the pcm will command cooling fans to run.if antifreeze low the coolant temperature sensor not going to work. engine is going to over heat.

Where is the starter on a 2000 chrysler lhs?

I can't tell you what side it's on.... but it is where the motor joins to the transmission. if it is front wheel drive (the motor is sideways). look down about the middle of the engine where it joins the transmission.... that is your starter. you should be able to follow one of the large wires from the battery to it. speaking of which make sure you disconnect the battery before changing the starter.

Oil pressure

I had the same problem on my 2003 Intrepid and the only solution was to replace the engine. If this is a 2.7 liter, (like mine) this may be what you need to do to get it back on the road. This is expensive, mine cost nearly $6000 in parts and labor. Even if it's just an oil pressure problem, you don't have to run it run to mess things up.
